Background: Although there is increasing emphasis on rehabilitation training after ligament reconstruction, little is known about the pain induced by the procedure itself. Procedural success may be limited by pain and anxiety. Nitrous oxide is widely used to alleviate procedural pain.

Despite the successful demonstration of many BIC-based configurations, their mode confinement is comparable to conventional dielectric waveguides. Even though plasmonics with strong light localization have been introduced into BICs, the intrinsic ohmic loss is still a facing challenge to be conquered.

Methods: Plasma samples and epidemiological information were collected from 4180 newly diagnosed HIV-1 positive patients in Zhejiang Province in 2021. Pol sequences were obtained to determine the subtypes via multiple analytical tools.
Background: The present study aimed to develop a reliable and straightforward Nomogram by integrating various parameters to accurately predict the likelihood of early neurological deterioration (END) in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS).
Methods: Acute ischemic stroke patients from Shaoxing People's Hospital, Shanghai Yangpu District Shidong Hospital, and Shanghai Fifth People's Hospital were recruited based on specific inclusion and exclusion criteria. The primary outcome was END.

The objective of this study is to assess the prevalence of antibiotic-resistant genes (ARGs) in the intestines of infants and the factors affecting their distribution. Breast milk and infant stool samples were collected from nine full-term, healthy mother-infant pairs. The bacterial distribution and various types of ARGs present in the samples were analyzed using metagenomic next-generation sequencing.

Pathologically, angioleiomyoma is usually composed of well-differentiated smooth muscle cells with few mitotic features. However, primary intracranial angioleiomyoma represents an exceedingly rare tumor, since the first case reported in 1994.

Using computer vision technology to estimate pig live weight is an important method to realize pig welfare. But there are two key issues that affect pigs' weight estimation: one is the uneven illumination, which leads to unclear contour extraction of pigs, and the other is the bending of the pig body, which leads to incorrect pig body information. For the first one, Mask R-CNN was used to extract the contour of the pig, and the obtained mask image was converted into a binary image from which we were able to obtain a more accurate contour image.

The participants were hypertensive patients who were suspected of PA and registered in the China Primary Aldosteronism Prospective Study. Plasma aldosterone-to-renin ratio (ARR) was used as the screening test.

This complicates the timely modification of treatment strategies or therapeutic music to improve treatment efficacy.
New Method: We employed a novel random convolutional kernel-based method for electrocardiogram (ECG) signal analysis to identify patients' emotional states during Music Tinnitus Sound Therapy (Music-TST) sessions.
Purpose: As lifestyle changes, there is an increasing number of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients in China. The present study aimed to investigate the predictive value of the lipid accumulation product (LAP) for T2DM in Chinese elderlies over 65 years.
Methods: The present cross-sectional study recruited 2,092 adults from communities of Pudong New Area of Shanghai.
Background: Hypertension is widely acknowledged as a significant contributory factor to the heightened risk of intracranial aneurysm rupture. Nevertheless, the impact of hypertension management on the outcomes subsequent to aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage (aSAH), particularly concerning the severity of aSAH, remains an underexplored area.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis using data from a prospectively multicentre cohort of 4545 patients with aSAH in China.
The subpixel target detection in hyperspectral image processing persists as a formidable challenge. In this paper, we present a novel subpixel target detector termed attention-based sparse and collaborative spectral abundance learning for subpixel target detection in hyperspectral images. To help suppress background during subpixel target detection, the proposed method presents a pixel attention-based background sample selection method for background dictionary construction.

However, UDA performance often relies heavily on the accuracy of source domain labels, which are frequently noisy or missing in real applications. To address unreliable source labels, we propose a novel framework for extracting robust, discriminative features via iterative pseudo-labeling, queue-based clustering, and bidirectional subdomain alignment (BSA).

Background: Machine learning algorithms as a research tool, including traditional machine learning and deep learning, are increasingly applied to the field of urodynamics. However, no studies have evaluated how to select appropriate algorithm models for different urodynamic research tasks.
Methods: We undertook a narrative review evaluating how the published literature reports the applications of machine learning in urodynamics.
Introduction: Therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE), an effective method to eliminate harmful soluble mediators associated with tissue injury, serves as a crucial intervention for systemic rheumatologic diseases (SRDs). However, its value in critically ill SRDs remains uncertain. This retrospective study aims to evaluate the efficacy of TPE in SRDs.
