Importance: Preferred neoadjuvant strategies for early or locally advanced triple-negative breast cancer include a 4-drug chemotherapy regimen containing anthracyclines, cyclophosphamide, taxanes, and platinum. Blockade of the programmed death receptor 1/ligand-1 (PD-1/PD-L1) pathway may improve efficacy of classic neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Camrelizumab, an anti-PD-1 antibody, has showed antitumor activity in advanced triple-negative breast cancer.

With the improvement of diagnostic techniques, numerous uncommon metastases derived from breast cancer were reported. However, very few studies explored the clinical characteristics and prognostic patterns of these patients. A total of 82 cases of uncommon metastatic breast cancer (MBC) registered at our hospital from January 1, 2010, to July 1, 2022, were selected for this retrospective study.

Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a subtype of breast cancer with poor outcome and lacks of approved targeted therapy. Overexpression of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) is found in more than 50% TNBC and is suggested as a driving force in progression of TNBC; however, targeting EGFR using antibodies to prevent its dimerization and activation shows no significant benefits for TNBC patients. Here we report that EGFR monomer may activate signal transducer activator of transcription-3 (STAT3) in the absence of transmembrane protein TMEM25, whose expression is frequently decreased in human TNBC.

Breast cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in women and it is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in the world. Ampelopsin (AMP) is a purified component from the root of . It is reported that AMP could significantly inhibit the proliferation of breast cancer cells.

Palbociclib is the most widely used cyclin-dependent kinase 4/6 inhibitor in China, but its early application efficacy on Chinese metastatic breast cancer (MBC) patients was reported deficiently. Between February 2019 to December 2021, 95 female hormone receptor-positive (HR+)/human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 negative (HER2-) patients with MBC received palbociclib combined with AI or fulvestrant were retrospectively analyzed in our center. The primary outcome was progression-free survival (PFS).

Background: To address intraoperative bleeding in cardiac surgery, reducing blood transfusion requirements, is mandatory to achieve effective hemostasis. Hemostatic agents may limit localized persistent bleeding. The introduction of carboxymethyl-chitosan component into the hemostatic agent and the application of the radiation crosslinking technique maintain its capacity for achieving intraoperative hemostasis, thus increasing the clinical utility.

Background: Curative operation is the practical and primary therapy for masses of breast cancers. In contrast, the correlation between the time interval from breast cancer diagnosis to curative surgery and survival is still uncertain.

Methods: An electronic literature search was conducted on PubMed/Medline and EMBASE (between Jan 2000 and Jan 2020).

Disassembly of intercellular junctions is a hallmark of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). However, how the junctions disassemble remains largely unknown. Here, we report that E3 ubiquitin ligase Smurf1 targets p120-catenin, a core component of adherens junction (AJ) complex, for monoubiquitination during transforming growth factor β (TGFβ)-induced EMT, thereby leading to AJ dissociation.

Introduction: Available patient-reported outcome (PRO) studies are mainly from single institution or of small sample size, and the variations across hospitals and regions were not fully analysed. A multicentre, prospective, patient-reported outcome-reconstruction and oncoplastic cohort (PRO-ROC) will be planned to assess the PROs of Chinese patients with breast cancer who will undergo breast reconstruction (BR) or oncoplastic breast-conserving surgery (OBCS).

Methods And Analysis: The inclusion criteria are female patients with breast cancer aged >18 years old who will undergo BR or OBCS.

Cadmium selenide and S, N co-doped graphene quantum dots (CdSe/S, N-GQDs) nanocomposites were synthesized via a solvothermal method. The results show that S, N-GQDs have a grain size of around 5 nm and an average height of 0.5 nm, which contains only 1-2 layers of graphene sheets.

Sulfur, nitrogen co-doped graphene quantum dots (S, N-GQDs) with high crystallinity were obtained by a top-down strategy. The as-prepared S, N-GQDs were investigated and the results indicate that S, N-GQDs exhibit a transverse dimension about 20 nm and a topographic height of 1-2 layers graphene. The incorporation of S, N can effectively reduce the layers of GQDs and strip the graphene sheets.

Graphene quantum dots (GQDs) decorated Al-doped ZnS composites were prepared using the solvothermal process, and the hydrothermal method was used to prepare GQDs. Various spectroscopic techniques were used to characterize the products, and the results show that Al-ZnS attached GQD composites present lattice fringes that can be assigned to ZnS and GQDs, respectively. The absorption peaks of Al-ZnS/GQDs are red-shifted because of the doping of aluminum and the incorporation of GQDs.

Ursolic acid (UA) is a major pentacyclic triterpenoid in plants, vegetables and fruits, which has been reported to have a potential anti-diabetic activity. Despite various semi-synthetic ursolic acid derivatives already described, new derivatives still need to be designed and synthesized to further improve the anti-diabetic activity. In the present study, two series of novel UA derivatives, were synthesized and their structures were confirmed.

The membrane theory is used to study the recently observed nanomechanical bending of cantilevers, which have processed biomolecular adsorption or biochemical reactions. To be different from entropy-controlling bending mechanism discussed before, we propose that the flexoelectric effect induces cantilever bending. With the introduction of flexoelectric spontaneous curvature, the relation between the bending and biopolymer character is constructed by a simple analytical formula.
