Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to compare the accuracy of effective atomic numbers (Z) across five dual-energy CT (DECT) scanners from different vendors and generations under various scanning parameters.
  • The evaluation involved testing Z accuracy with twelve tube voltage settings using a phantom and analyzing how radiation doses and insert positions in the body affected results, applying statistical methods for analysis.
  • Findings revealed that all configurations had a bias of less than 1, with the dual layer detector DECT showing the best accuracy, while newer DECT generations did not consistently improve accuracy compared to older ones.

Objective: To explore the feasibility of identifying epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutation molecular subtypes in primary lesions based on the radiomics features of lung adenocarcinoma brain metastases using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed clinical, imaging, and genetic testing data of patients with lung adenocarcinoma with EGFR gene mutations who had brain metastases. Three-dimensional radiomics features were extracted from contrast-enhanced T1-weighted images.

Aim: To establish a predictive nomogram for malignancy risk stratification of micro-calcifications (MCCs) detected on mammography.

Materials And Methods: Consecutive mammograms from January 2017 to March 2021 were retrospectively reviewed. Traditional clinical features were recorded and mammographic features were estimated according to the 5th BI-RADS.

Osteoblastoma is a rare benign osseous neoplasm that accounts for 1%-3% of all primary bone tumors. Osteoblastomas can involve any part of the skeleton, but mainly occurs in the spine and other long bones, rarely in extra-skeletal areas. Extra-skeletal osteoblastomas arise from tissues outside of the bone, and only a few cases have been reported previously.

A close association must be maintained between the male pronucleus and the centrosomes during pronuclear migration. In C. elegans, simultaneous depletion of inner nuclear membrane LEM proteins EMR-1 and LEM-2, depletion of the nuclear lamina proteins LMN-1 or BAF-1, or the depletion of nuclear import components leads to embryonic lethality with small pronuclei.
