O3-NaNiFeMnO has attracted much attention as a cathode for sodium-ion batteries, because of its low cost and high sodium-ion storage capacity. However, its slow Na diffusion kinetics and harmful P3-O3' phase transition with severe bulk strain at high voltage leads to poor rate capability and fast capacity fading. Herein, we propose a multivariate doping strategy with Cu, Mg, and Ti ions to solve the above problems of the O3-NaNiFeMnO cathode.

Rationale And Objectives: The correlation between collateral circulation and futile recanalization (FR) is still controversial, and few studies have explored the influence of comprehensive cerebral collateral circulation on FR after endovascular stroke treatment. Therefore, based on cerebral collateral recycle (CCR) status, we aimed to establish an effective scoring system to identify the probability of FR.

Methods: This was a multicenter retrospective cohort study.

Increasing the Ni content in Ni-rich cathodes to over 90% can further enhance the energy density and reduce costs. However, this aggravates the issue of lattice oxygen release due to the instability of the layered structure. In this work, an entropy-stabilized surface strategy is used to process ultrahigh nickel cathode LiNiCoMnO (NCM).

  • Elderly patients are significantly at risk for acute ischemic stroke caused by large vessel occlusion, which often leads to serious disabilities despite treatment. This study investigates the impact of cerebral collateral recycle (CCR) status on outcomes for these patients undergoing endovascular treatment (EVT).
  • In a retrospective study involving 338 elderly patients, those with moderate to favorable CCR showed much higher rates of functional independence (63.3% and 31.1% respectively) compared to those with poor CCR (10.2%). The odds of achieving better outcomes were significantly higher for patients in the moderate and favorable CCR groups.
  • The research concludes that the status of cerebral collaterals is a strong predictor of functional outcomes for elderly AIS

Article Synopsis
  • Microplastics (MPs) are prevalent in freshwater ecosystems and pose threats to aquatic life, leading to research on how these particles transfer among organisms and the influence of particle size and food availability.
  • Zebrafish and water fleas (Daphnia) were studied to examine the ingestion and elimination of fluorescent polyethylene MPs, revealing that both organisms can ingest these particles, but elimination rates vary—daphnia eliminate them quickly, while zebrafish take longer.
  • The presence of food impacts MP uptake negatively for daphnia but helps zebrafish eliminate MPs faster, indicating that trophic transfer from contaminated prey to fish is a significant route for MP transmission in aquatic environments.
