A CuH-catalyzed reductive coupling of nitroarenes with phosphine oxides is developed, which produces a series of phosphamides in moderate to excellent yields with good functional group tolerance. Gram-scale synthesis and late-stage modification of nitro-aromatic functional molecule niclosamide are also successfully conducted. The mechanism study shows that the nitro group is transformed after being reduced to nitroso and a nucleophilic addition procedure is involved during the reaction.

Results show that the ceramic phase is seriously affected by chemical corrosion at 880 °C electrolysis, and it is difficult to form a dense ceramic surface layer. A dense ceramic surface layer is formed on the bottom of the anode electrolyzed at 960 °C, and the dense layer thickens with the extension of the electrolysis time.

The absorber consists of a hollow Dirac semi-metallic layer above, a gold layer below and a photonic crystal slab (PCS) in the middle. The study found that the terahertz wave absorber achieved three perfect absorption rates of more than 95% in the range of 1 to 2.

Hydroxyapatite (HA) microspheres with high porosities were successfully obtained using an improved ice-templated spray drying (ITSD) technique for drug delivery applications. Pore structures and pore sizes of microspheres have great impact on drug loading and release kinetics. Therefore, solvent types, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) contents and solid loadings of suspensions were adjusted to control the pore structures and pore sizes.

The reaction proceeds with the exclusive formation of the N-methyl derivative without any concurrent O-methylation side reactions. In addition, the N-methylation reaction occurred simultaneously with a complete deprotection step (elimination of the metal ion).

Using techniques of X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, dynamic light scattering, and scanning electron microscopy, effect of PEG on the crystallographic properties, particle size, aggregating behavior, and the morphological properties of nanoparticles in the sols were studied. It was found that growth of anatase nanocrystallites was retarded by PEG.

In this study, a facile method has been developed for the fabrication of arginine-functionalized and europium-doped hydroxyapatite nanoparticles (Arg-Eu-HAP). The synthesized nanoparticles characterized by transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffractometry, Fourier transform infrared, and Zeta potential analyzer.

The molecular mechanisms that regulate progenitor cell division and differentiation in the RMS remain largely unknown. Here, we surveyed the mouse genome in an unbiased manner to identify candidate gene loci that regulate proliferation in the adult RMS.

This study was aimed to evaluate the biocompatibility of Hydroxyapatite/High density polyethylene (HA/ HDPE) nano-composites artificial ossicle. The percentage of S-period cells were detected by flow cytometry after L929 cells being incubated with extraction of the HA/HDPE nano-composites; the titanium materials for clinical application served as the contrast. In addition, both materials were implanted in animals and the histopathological evaluations were conducted.

The surface morphology, bond strength and thickness of HA coatings were investigated by SEM, AFM, and its biocompatibility was evaluated by cytotoxicity experiments and implant experiments, respectively. Results showed that (1) The HA coatings was 50 microm thickness and adhered on the Ti substrate strongly, which bond strength reached 38 MPa.
