Optical aberrations hinder fluorescence microscopy of thick samples, reducing image signal, contrast, and resolution. Here we introduce a deep learning-based strategy for aberration compensation, improving image quality without slowing image acquisition, applying additional dose, or introducing more optics. Our method (i) introduces synthetic aberrations to images acquired on the shallow side of image stacks, making them resemble those acquired deeper into the volume and (ii) trains neural networks to reverse the effect of these aberrations.

Spinal cord injuries (SCI) and traumatic brain injuries (TBI) increase the risk of testosterone deficiency and result in adverse changes in body composition and poor functional outcomes. The current systematic review aims to provide insights into the use of testosterone therapy for treating men with SCI and TBI. The PubMed and EMBASE databases were systematically reviewed using appropriate terms, and resulting manuscripts were screened using defined Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) criteria.

Background: Transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS)-a noninvasive brain stimulation technique that modulates cortical oscillations in the brain-has shown the capacity to enhance working memory (WM) abilities in healthy individuals. The efficacy of tACS in the improvement of WM performance in healthy individuals is not yet fully understood.

Objective/hypothesis: This meta-analysis aimed to systematically evaluate the efficacy of tACS in the enhancement of WM in healthy individuals and to assess moderators of response to stimulation.
