A series of (3-hydroxypyridin-4-one)-coumarin hybrids were developed and investigated as potential multitargeting candidates for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease (AD) through the incorporation of iron-chelating and monoamine oxidase B (MAO-B) inhibition.
