Background: This study aimed to develop and validate a predictive nomogram model applicable to depression risk in stroke patients.
Methods: Participants from the NHANES database (n = 1097) were enrolled from 2005 to 2018; 767 subjects were randomly assigned to the training cohort, and the remaining subjects composed the testing cohort. A nomogram containing the optimal predictors identified by the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) and logistic regression methods was constructed to estimate the probability of depression in stroke patients.
Background: Randomised controlled trials (RCTs) are the predominant type in acupuncture clinical research, and the publications have increased rapidly in recent years, but there is a prevalence of the high risk of bias and poor methodological design in acupuncture RCTs. Clinical trial registration can improve the transparency and credibility of studies by disclosing key information in advance. However, the registration in acupuncture RCTs is not satisfactory, as there is widespread of the under-registration, inconsistency with published studies and insufficient disclosure of key methodological information.

In this work, we report an approach to construct enzyme-responsive aqueous surfactant two-phase (ASTP) systems serving as enzyme substrates by using a cationic surfactant (myristoylcholine chloride) and a series of anionic surfactants. Driven by the hydrophobic interaction and electrostatic attraction, self-assemblies of cationic-anionic surfactant mixtures result in biphasic systems containing condensed lamellar structures and coexisting dilute solutions, which turn into homogeneous aqueous phases in the presence of hydrolase (cholinesterase).
