Background: The emergence of colistin resistance in carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRKP) is a significant public health concern, as colistin has been the last resort for treating such infections. This study aimed to investigate the prevalence and molecular characteristics of colistin-resistant CRKP isolates in Central South China.
Methods: CRKP isolates from twelve hospitals in Central South China were screened for colistin resistance using broth microdilution.
Background: A scarcity of data exists concerning atrial fibrillation (AF) during the perioperative stage of non-cardiothoracic surgery, particularly orthopedic surgery. In addition, given the frequency and significant impact of AF in the perioperative period, therefore our aim was to identify prognosis and predictors of elderly hip fracture patients with perioperative AF.
Methods: An examination of hip fracture patients at the Third Hospital of Hebei Medical University, who had been hospitalized from January 2018 to October 2020 in succession, was conducted retrospectively.
Background: Patients with preoperative acute heart failure (AHF) after hip fracture in the elderly have a worse prognosis. We aim to investigate the characteristics, risk factors and postoperative complications of elderly patients with hip fracture complicated with preoperative AHF. We also looked at the effect of the severity of anemia at admission on the prognosis of the above people.

Underwater object detection is highly complex and requires a high speed and accuracy. In this paper, an underwater target detection model based on YOLOv8 (SPSM-YOLOv8) is proposed. It solves the problems of high computational complexities, slow detection speeds and low accuracies.

Methods: Patients were categorized into the AIS group and the non-AIS group.
Recently, colistin and carbapenem-resistant hypervirulent Klebsiella pneumoniae (CCR-hvKP) has been observed sporadically. The aim of this study was to report a nosocomial outbreak due to CCR-hvKP, so as to control the transmission of CCR-hvKP and prevent future outbreaks. The clinical characteristics of five involved cases were analyzed and infection prevention and control measures were documented.

Background: Hip fractures in the elderly are a common traumatic injury. Due to factors such as age and underlying diseases, these patients exhibit a high incidence of acute heart failure prior to surgery, severely impacting surgical outcomes and prognosis.
Objective: This study aims to explore the potential risk factors for acute heart failure before surgery in elderly patients with hip fractures and to establish an effective clinical prediction model.
Background: Empowerment is a comprehensive concept involving intrapersonal, interactional, and behavioral aspects. However, there is a lack of a specific empowerment scale for Coronary artery disease (CAD) related to knowledge and skills in China. The reliability and validity of the Coronary Artery Disease Empowerment Scale (CADES) need to be tested.

The intricacies of in situ microbial coal degradation must be understood in order to develop innovative energy production strategies and economically viable industrial microbial mining. This review covers various forms of conversion (such as the use of MECoM, which converts coal into hydrogen), stresses, and in situ use.

In this work, a novel acylation of arenes with a highly electrophilic acylphosphonium salt was developed. The alkylation of the phosphorus atom in acylphosphines generated a neutral trivalent phosphine as a good leaving group and triggered the high electrophilicity of the acylphosphonium salt.

This study focused on optimizing CAR constructs for NK cells to maximize their therapeutic potential. We designed seven CD19 CAR constructs and expressed them in NK cells using a retroviral system, assessing their tumour-killing efficacy and persistence.

Methods: This article retrospectively collected elderly patients with hip fracture and CHD who underwent hip fracture surgery at the Third Hospital of Hebei Medical University from January 2019 to December 2021. Demographic data, laboratory indicators, and imaging examination results were collected from the medical case system.
Autocollimators are widely used optical axis-measuring tools, but their measurement errors increase significantly when measuring under non-leveled conditions and they have a limited measurement range due to the limitations of the measurement principle. To realize axis measurement under non-leveled conditions, this paper proposes an autocollimator axis measurement method based on the strapdown inertial navigation system (SINS). First, the measurement model of the system was established.

However, the prognostic potential and mechanistic role of TMEM9 in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) remain unclear. Here, we first found a significant upregulation of TMEM9 in LUAD tissues, and TMEM9 expression was positively correlated with microvessel density (MVD), T stage, and clinical stage.

Methods: We retrospectively collected older hip fracture patients with CHD who underwent hip fracture surgery at the Third Hospital of Hebei Medical University from January 2017 to December 2021. We divided them into a training set and a validation set.
Background: Hip fractures are a serious health concern among the elderly, particularly in patients with hypertension, where the incidence of acute heart failure preoperatively is high, significantly affecting surgical outcomes and prognosis. This study aims to assess the risk of preoperative acute heart failure in elderly patients with hypertension and hip fractures by constructing a predictive model using machine learning on potential risk factors.
Methods: A retrospective study design was employed, collecting preoperative data from January 2018 to December 2019 of elderly hypertensive patients with hip fractures at the Third Hospital of Hebei Medical University.
Background: Elderly patients with hip fracture who develop perioperative acute heart failure (AHF) have a poor prognosis. The aim of the present study is to investigate the potential risks of AHF in elderly hip-fracture patients in the postoperative period and to evaluate the prognostic significance of AHF.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on hip fracture patients at the Third Hospital of Hebei Medical University, who were continuously in hospital from September 2018 to August 2020.
Immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) therapy has resulted in improved overall survival in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), but most treated patients fail to show durable clinical responses. Lymphocyte activation gene-3 (LAG3) is a novel inhibitory immune checkpoint, but its expression pattern, prognostic value, and immunological role in KIRC remain unknown. In this study, we utilized TCGA_KIRC RNA-sequencing data to analyze the relationship between LAG3 expression and clinical features.

However, there is limited research on POP in elderly patients with hip fractures complicated by CVD. Therefore, our research focuses on the following two issues: (1) What are the clinical features of elderly patients with hip fractures combined with CVD? (2) What are the predictive factors for the occurrence of POP in such patients?
Hypothesis: Male, femoral neck fracture and hypoalbuminemia can be predictive factors for the development of POP after hip fracture in CVD patients.

Background: Embodied conversational agents (ECAs) are computer-generated animated humanlike characters that interact with users through verbal and nonverbal behavioral cues. They are increasingly used in a range of fields, including health care.
Objective: This scoping review aims to identify the current practice in the development and evaluation of ECAs for chronic diseases.
Background: Chronic disease self-management is a public health issue of worldwide concern, and gamification is an emerging strategy to improve patients' participation in chronic disease self-management. Some studies have summarized designs for the gamification of chronic disease self-management from the perspective of eHealth technology, but they have not mentioned differences in design methods, functions, and evaluation methods of gamified designs for self-management in different chronic diseases.
Objective: This scoping review aims to synthesize the characteristics of realization forms, functions, and evaluation methods in chronic disease self-management gamification to improve self-management among the chronic disease population.
