This study evaluated the ability of a high-voltage electrostatic field (HVEF) treatment to extend the shelf life of tomatoes. Tomatoes were exposed to HVEF treatment for different lengths of time, and the physicochemical properties of tomatoes and bioactive compounds were monitored during 28 days of storage at 4 °C. The results indicated that the quality parameters of tomatoes were better maintained during storage by the HVEF treatment relative to the control treatment, extending their shelf life by 14-28 days.

Unlabelled: Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is the most cost-effective, and potent method for the treatment of end-stage knee osteoarthritis. Acute normovolemic haemodilution (ANH) can effectively replace the need for allogeneic transfusions due to the high amount of bleeding during TKA. However, more studies are needed to prove the efficacy and safety of ANH and to clarify its indications in the field of knee replacement.

Background And Pppm-related Working Hypothesis: In the diagnosis of incomplete rotator cuff injuries (IRCI), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and ultrasound examination often have false-positive and false-negative results, while arthroscopy is expensive, invasive, and complex. From the strategy of predictive, preventive, and personalized medicine (PPPM), shoulder anatomical characteristics based on MRI have been demonstrated to accurately predict IRCI and their clinical applicability for personalized prediction of IRCI.

Aims: This study aimed to develop and validate a nomogram based on anatomical features of the shoulder on MRI to identify IRCI for PPPM healthcare strategies.

In this study, bovine collagen hydrolysate was purified via a series of chromatograms, and the peptides with the highest activity for promoting myoblast proliferation were identified by LC-MS-MS. It was demonstrated that the peptide GDAGPGPAGPAGPGPIG (hydroxylation) could promote C2C12 proliferation (+18.5% ± 0.

Article Synopsis
  • The osteosarcoma (OS) microenvironment consists of tumor cells, immune cells, and stromal tissue, playing a crucial role in OS development and progression, which highlights the need for microenvironment-targeted treatments.
  • Using principal component analysis on 88 OS cases, researchers developed a TME scoring system identifying high and low TMEscore phenotypes, with high scores linked to longer patient survival and better treatment responses.
  • These findings were confirmed through additional data analysis and laboratory experiments, providing insights into immune interactions in OS and potential new therapeutic approaches.
