- An ultrasonic transducer with pure torsional output has been developed using stress waves generated by radial excitation and a radial chute design.
- The study establishes a mechanical model to understand how radial waves interact with the chute and identifies an optimal angle for synthesizing effective circumferential waves.
- Simulation results demonstrate that the designed transducer effectively converts radial waves into a strong circumferential wave, achieving a circumferential amplitude that is 5.22 times greater than the radial amplitude at the chute disc.
