Background: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2D) is a significant health concern. Research using non-human primates, which develop T2D with similar symptoms and pancreatic changes as humans, is crucial but limited by long timelines and low success rates.
Results: We targeted capture sequenced 61 normal and 81 T2D cynomolgus monkeys using a primer panel that captured 269 potential regulatory regions potentially associated with T2D in the cynomolgus monkey genome.
The rapid development of the economy leads to the high demand for deep coal resources, which further poses the potential problem of deep gas (or methane) emissions. The clarification of deep gas occurrence law for coal mines provides theoretical and data support for methane emission predictions, and assists industrial and mining enterprises in planning targeted emission reduction measures. This study defined and verified the existence of a critical depth for the deep gas occurrence in coal mines based on a multiple-scale case study of how the gas occurrence is associated with depth and stress status changes in the Pingdingshan No.

Methods: We performed a systematic literature search in PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and the Cochrane database through April 2018 to identify any randomized controlled trials that evaluated the clinical efficacy of HA, PRP, CS, HA-plus-PRP, and control treatments for hip OA. Baseline information-country, mean age, number of patients, and Kellgren-Lawrence grade of hip OA in the treatment and control groups-was collected.
