Background: Prostate cancer (PCa) is definitively diagnosed by systematic prostate biopsy (SBx) with 13 cores. This method, however, can increase the risk of urinary retention, infection and bleeding due to the excessive number of biopsy cores.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 622 patients who underwent SBx with prostate multiparametric MRI (mpMRI) from two centers between January 2014 to June 2022.
Osteosarcoma (OS) is the most common primary malignant bone tumor. Recent evidence suggests that the novel long noncoding RNA DHRS4 antisense RNA 1 (DHRS4-AS1) serves an important role in cancer progression and metastasis. However, its function and molecular mechanism in OS remain largely unknown.

Methods: Data from electronic medical records from two tertiary hospitals, collected between January 2012 and December 2019, were analyzed for this study. All IAs were confirmed by computed tomographic angiography or digital subtraction angiography.
Konjac oligosaccharide (KOS) exhibits various biological activities, and hyperthermophilic β-glucanases offer many advantages for KOS production from konjac glucanmannan (KGM). In this study, a novel β-glucanase, EG003, belonging to the glycosyl hydrolase (GH) subfamily 5_1, was predicted from the genome of the a Thermus strain. The recombinant EG003 and its catalytic domain, EG003A, were successfully expressed and characterized.

A critical challenge is that conventional polymeric HTMs are incapable of forming ultra-thin and conformal coatings like self-assembly monolayers (SAMs), especially for substrates with rough surface morphology. Herein, we address this challenge by designing anchorable polymeric HTMs (CP1 to CP5).

Flexible perovskite solar cells (FPSCs) are a promising emerging photovoltaic technology, with certified power conversion efficiencies reaching 24.9 %. However, the frequent occurrence of grain fractures and interface delamination raises concerns about their ability to endure the mechanical stresses caused by temperature fluctuations.

First, the rule-based EMS is established by dividing the efficient working areas of the methanol engine and power battery. The Tent chaotic mapping is then used to integrate strategies of cosine, Lévy flight, and Cauchy Gaussian mutation, improving the DBO.

Herein, a ligand updating strategy is proposed by inserting energy centers to MOFs to activate the inherent ligands, realizing boosting hot electron generation and photocatalytic activities via the cascaded proceeding of energy transfer and charge transfer. By taking PCN-777 (a zeotype mesoporous Zr-containing MOF) as an example, this study shows that the embedded energy center of 1-pyrenecarboxylic acid (PCA) can activate the inherent ligand of PCN-777 through triplet-triplet energy transfer, where triplet excitons would dissociate into photocarriers migrating to the Zr metal cluster via LMCT process.

Differentially expressed senescence-related genes (DESRGs) selected from Cellular senescence-related genes (SRGs) and differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were analyzed using Gene Ontology enrichment, Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathways and protein-protein interaction networks. Hub genes in DESRGs were selected based on degree, and diagnostic genes were further screened by gene expression and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve.

With the yearly increasing incidence, obesity has become a risk factor for a variety of pathological changes, including inflammation and metabolic syndrome in various system (endocrine, circulatory, locomotor and central nervous system). Thus these symptoms lead to multi-organ dysfunctions, including the heart, liver, kidneys, brain and joints.

However, the conventional hole transport materials can lead to band misalignment or induce degradation at the buried interface of perovskite. Here we designed a self-assembled material 4-(9H-carbozol-9-yl)phenylboronic acid (4PBA) for the surface modification of the substrate as the hole-selective contact.

Evidence linking these relationships to the effects of inflammation on dopamine is consistent with our recent findings that acute levodopa (L-DOPA) increased VS-vmPFC FC in association with deceased anhedonia in depressed patients with higher but not lower CRP (>2 versus ≤ 2 mg/L). To determine whether repeated L-DOPA administration caused sustained effects on FC and behavior in these patients, medically stable depressed outpatients with CRP > 2 mg/L and anhedonia (n = 18) received one week of three doses of L-DOPA (150-450 mg/day/week with carbidopa) or placebo in a randomized order.

However, commercialized radioactive microspheres still have some issues, such as high density, complicated preparation, non-biodegradability. Furthermore, the use of different radioactive microspheres during TARE and lung shunt fraction assessment has led to inconsistencies in biodistribution in certain cases.

In recent years, its role has been evolving to include patients with disease burden beyond the widely used Milan criteria. The integration of dynamic biomarkers such as alpha-fetoprotein together with downstaging approaches and tumor evolution after enlistment has allowed the selection of patients most likely to benefit, resulting in 5-year survival rates greater that 70%.

In this study, we explored the roles of macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF), endoplasmic reticulum stress (ER stress), and Th17 cells in the pathogenesis of RA. We have preliminarily confirmed that MIF expression in CD4T cells and the proportion of Th17 cells are increased in active RA patients.
