Aim: To translate, culturally adapt and evaluate the psychometric properties of the Peer Evaluation Scale for Team-based Learning (PES-TBL) for students in nursing and medical disciplines.
Background: Effective peer evaluation tools provide a more scientific and objective assessment of collaborative learning. However, there is a lack of peer evaluation instruments designed for group learning in China.
Aims: To explore the mediating role of relationship satisfaction between communication patterns and benefit findings in stroke couples using the actor-partner interdependence mediation model.
Methods And Results: A cross-sectional study was conducted from October 2022 to April 2023 in China. Based on the actor-partner interdependence mediation model, we used structural equation modeling to explore the mediating role of relationship satisfaction of stroke patients and their spouses in communication patterns and benefit findings.
Objective: To explore the relationship between hypertensive comorbidity patterns and social participation and depressive symptoms in middle-aged and elderly hypertensive patients.
Methods: Using the data from the 2015, 2018 and 2020 of the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study, 2786 middle and elderly adults aged 45 and above with hypertension were included. Data analysis was performed in Stata 17.

Purpose: To understand the recurrence risk perception of stroke patients and develop a chain mediation model of recurrence risk perception and health behavior.
Methods: A cross-sectional study and convenience sampling were used. Stroke survivors were recruited from the neurology departments of three tertiary hospitals.
Background: The research trends regarding standardised patients(SPs) in the education of health professions students have not been systematically studied.
Methods: All published literature on SPs from January 1994 to January 2024 in Web of Science was screened by two reviewers. Bibliometric analysis and knowledge mapping visualisation analysis were performed using Cite Space software.

Background: The incidence of male breast cancer has been increasing in recent years; however, the long-term survival outcomes of diagnosed patients remain uncertain. This study was designed to evaluate the conditional survival of male breast cancer patients and to predict the future survival of patients through the conditional nomogram, to provide important suggestions for clinical decision-making.
Methods: Retrospective data from the SEER database included 3600 male breast cancer patients, divided into training and validation groups (7 : 3 ratio).
Background: Volunteer motivation is essential to advancing community service, education, and career development of nursing students. However, few studies have been conducted on nursing students' volunteer motivation.
Objectives: To investigate the relationship between social support benefit finding and volunteer motivation among nursing students and the role of social support in these relationships.
Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the dynamic longitudinal relationship between grip strength and cognitive function.
Methods: 6175 participants aged ≥50 years were included in the study using three waves of follow-up data from the Survey of Health, Ageing, and Retirement in Europe in 2015 (T1), 2017 (T2) and 2019 (T3). Cognitive function was assessed using numeracy, verbal fluency, immediate recall, delayed recall and total.
Background: Phytosterols (PS), as a kind of plant active ingredients, have many benefits to human health. However, there is currently no comprehensive overview of the clinical evidence and an assessment of the evidence quality.
Purpose: We conducted an umbrella review, which incorporated verification spanning a number of meta-analyses and systematic reviews to clarify the link that existed between PS consuming and health outcomes.

Background And Aims: Cholesterol control and management in patients with hypercholesterolemia are significant for the primary and secondary prevention of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. This study analyzed the trend of serum total cholesterol (TC) control (<240 mg/dL and <200 mg/dL) in American adults with hypercholesterolemia and thereby make some effective recommendations for the public health measures.
Methods And Results: Basing on the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) data from 1988 to 2018 (12 cycles), we calculated the weighted and representative rate of patients with hypercholesterolemia who had controlled TC, and then described the trend.
Purpose: In cohort studies on liver cancer, there are often immortal time bias and interference of competing risk events. This study proposes to explore the role of internal and external radiotherapy for hepatocellular carcinoma using SEER data, using a competing risk model and controlling immortal time bias.
Methods: Data of SEER from 2004 till 2015 was included.
Aims: To investigate the relationship between stroke survivors' perceptions of recurrence risk, coping styles and depression state, and the role coping styles play in mediating that relationship.
Design: A cross-sectional descriptive study.
Methods: From one hospital in Huaxian, China, 320 stroke survivors were randomly selected as a convenience sample.
The relationship between cadmium (Cd) and the cognition of the elderly is indistinct. To summarise the studies on the relationship between the cognition of the elderly and Cd. Literatures were searched in PubMed, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), and Wan fang database on April 25, 2022.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of waist circumference-years on the incidence of type 2 diabetes. Methods: A total of 6616 adults from the China Health and Nutrition Survey (CHNS) were enrolled in this study from 1997.

Objective: To explore the association of the methylation level of cell death-inducing DFF45-like effector B (CIDEB) gene promoter with overweight or obesity in the abdominal subcutaneous adipose tissue (SAT) and omental adipose tissue (OAT) of adults.
Methods: A total of 61 patients undergoing abdominal surgery in the hospital were selected with an average age of 51.87 years.
Background: Self-efficacy is a significant predictor of return to work and affects the confidence of survivors to return to work after illness. The Return-to-work self-efficacy (RTW-SE) questionnaire is a self-report questionnaire to assess confidence in returning to work with good reliability and validity. The aim of this study was to translate and cross-culturally adapt the RTW-SE questionnaire into Chinese and examine the psychometric properties among young and middle-aged stroke survivors using Rasch model analysis.

Background: Regular PAE after stroke is essential for recovery and secondary prevention, while adherence to PAE and its influential factors are rarely studied.
Design: A cross-sectional descriptive study.
Whether obesity affects the quality of semen has become the focus of research. However, there are some deficiencies in the past research, because the vast majority of known infertile patients were included in the study samples. Taking infertile men as the research object to analyse the impact of obesity on semen quality, which cannot accurately prove that the impact on semen quality is caused by obesity, because the impact on semen quality may also be caused by other factors.

Methods: The cross-sectional data of 8550 participants were from the China Health and Nutrition Survey (CHNS) in 2015. Influencing factors with statistically significant were selected with logistic regression analysis, and a risk prediction model was established to obtain the risk of individuals suffering from T2DM.
To evaluate the association between selenoprotein gene polymorphisms and Kashin-Beck disease (KBD) susceptibility through a systematic review and updated meta-analysis. PubMed, Google Scholar, Cochrane library, and Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) were electronically searched using the terms "selenoprotein" and "Kashin-Beck disease" or "KBD" with a search time from the establishment of the database to January 2021. The Newcastle-Ottawa Scale (NOS) was used for methodological quality evaluation of the included studies.
