Article Synopsis
  • * The causes of CPSP are complex, involving both peripheral and central mechanisms, including inflammation and nerve injury, and factors during the pre, intra, and postoperative phases can exacerbate pain.
  • * Early and comprehensive preventative strategies are essential to reduce the risk of CPSP following TKA, and recent studies have focused on improving perioperative care to mitigate this issue and enhance patient recovery.

The wetting deformation of the upstream dam shell material during the impoundment of the core wall rockfill dam seriously affects the safety of the dam. Based on the proposed - wetting model, this paper proposes its corresponding two methods to simulate the collapse settlement of the rockfill dam: the initial strain method and the initial stress method. By simulating the collapse settlement of the Guanyinyan core wall rockfill dam, it is found that the simulated result using the initial stress method is in good agreement with the field monitoring data, while the displacement simulated using the initial strain method is larger.

Silicon nanowires with high density, uniform distribution and large area were produced directly from Si(100) based on solid-liquid-solid mechanism under the growth temperature of 1 100 ℃ with 30 min. The flow of N2 is 1 500 sccm and Au-Al films is used as metallic catalyst. The diameters of Si nanowires is 50~120 nm and the lengths of the formed Si nanowires is hundreds of nanometers.

Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is a major malodorous compound emitted from wastewater treatment plants. In this study, the performance of three pilot-scale immobilized-cell biotrickling filters (BTFs) spacked with combinations of bamboo charcoal and ceramsite in different ratios was investigated in terms of H2S removal. Extensive tests were performed to determine the removal characteristics, pressure drops, metabolic products, and removal kinetics of the BTFs.
