Purpose: The discovery of the glymphatic system, crucial for cerebrospinal and interstitial fluid exchange, has enhanced our grasp of brain protein balance and its potential role in neurodegenerative disease prevention and therapy. Detecting early neurodegenerative shifts via noninvasive biomarkers could be key in identifying at-risk individuals for Alzheimer's disease (AD). Our research explores a diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) method that measures cortical mean diffusivity (cMD), potentially a more sensitive indicator of neurodegeneration than traditional macrostructural methods.

Background: Neuronal intranuclear inclusion disease (NIID) is a rare neurological degenerative disorder with diverse manifestations and inadequate awareness. Only a few cases of NIID have been reported, and typical imaging findings can provide certain clues for the diagnosis of the disease. Furthermore, skin biopsy and genetic testing are important to confirm the diagnosis.

Background: Necroptosis-induced neuronal damage after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) has been documented recently. Previous studies have reported that RIP3 and its complex are recognized as central mediators of necroptosis. In this study, the role of RIP3 in the activation of CaMKII and AIF was investigated.
