B-cell acute lymphocytic leukemia (B-ALL) is a malignant proliferative B-lymphocyte disease. Although the outcome of B-ALL has greatly improved with combined chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, some patients still experience drug resistance, relapse and a low long-term survival rate, therefore, finding novel approaches to improve the outcome of adult B-ALL patients is critical. Our previous studies revealed that the selective histone deacetylase inhibitor (HDACi) chidamide can inhibit the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway by inhibiting MYCN and increasing the expression of DKK3 in B-ALL cells.

Current risk stratification systems fail to provide accurate guidelines for precise treatment. Novel biomarkers for predicting prognosis are urgently needed.

Low overall survival of AML is due to non-remission or relapse after remission. Hypomethylating agent (HMA) decitabine combined with low-dose chemotherapy or other targeted agents has shown promising effect for AML in clinical trials, especially in (8;21) acute myeloid leukemia.

Methods: A total of 113 patients with MM osteolytic lesions were studied retrospectively.
Background: As a common haematological malignancy, acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), particularly with extramedullary infiltration (EMI), often results in a high mortality rate and poor prognosis. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) regulate biological and pathogenic processes, suggesting a potential role in AML. We have previously described the overall alterations in circRNAs and their regulatory networks between patients with AML presenting with and without EMI.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFOur previous studies revealed that MYCN downregulates the expression of DKK3, activates the Wnt/β-catenin signalling pathway at the transcriptional level, and thereby promotes the development of B cell acute lymphocytic leukaemia (B-ALL) but does not affect the methylation of the DKK3 promoter. Some studies have shown that MYCN is associated with histone acetylation. We speculate that histone deacetylase inhibitors (HDACis) can inhibit the Wnt/β-catenin signalling pathway by inhibiting MYCN and increasing the expression of DKK3.

Moreover, organs infiltration trends to occur during remission. Rapamycin was applied to treat malignancies for decades.

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are a novel class of non-coding RNAs that feature covalently closed continuous loops, suggesting their potential as micro RNA (miRNA) "sponges" that can participate in biological processes and pathogenesis. However, investigations on circRNAs in EMI were conducted rarely.

Our previous studies have shown that miR-708 down-regulates DKK3 at the post-transcriptional level in B-ALL. However, whether transcriptional mechanisms lead to DKK3 silencing remains unclear.

Compared with the previously reported multiband graphene-based MAs, a broad bandwidth of 11.7 THz with the absorption over 90% is obtained in the proposed MA, which is composed of a Jerusalem cross (JC) metal encrusting into the slot graphene layer in the top layer.

To date, both intra- and inter-genogroup recombinant strains have been reported in many countries except for China. Here, we report an intra-genogroup recombination of porcine SaV identified from a piglet with diarrhea of China.

A uniform theoretical model, for both direct and indirect couplings between the two stubs, is established to study spectral features in the plasmonic stub waveguide, and the theoretical results agree well with the finite difference time domain simulations. Adjusting phase difference and coupling strength of the interaction, one can realize the EIT-like phenomena and achieve the required slow light effect.
