The zig-zag eel exhibits both sexual dimorphism and sex reversal, making it crucial to understand the mechanisms of sex determination and differentiation. Additionally, the wild populations of the zig-zag eel are significantly declining, emphasizing the need for urgent conservation efforts. In this study, we identified 7 Dmrt, 62 HMG-box, and 73 TGF-β family members in the zig-zag eel genome.

Humanoid robots are typically designed for static environments, but real-world applications demand robust performance under dynamic, uncertain conditions. This paper introduces a perceptive motion planning and control algorithm that enables humanoid robots to navigate and operate effectively in environments with unpredictable kinematic and dynamic disturbances. The proposed algorithm ensures synchronized multi-limb motion while maintaining dynamic balance, utilizing real-time feedback from force, torque, and inertia sensors.

However, general and convenient methods for enantio-diverse access to diverse β-fluoromethylated ketones are lacking, hindering the further development of these functional moieties. In this study, we developed an ene-reductase-based photobiocatalytic platform for efficient synthesis of enantio-divergent β-fluoromethylated chiral ketones.

This meta-analysis was conducted to assess the comparative efficacy of static computer-aided implant surgery (sCAIS) and dynamic computer-aided implant surgery (dCAIS) on the accuracy of implant placement.
Methods: A systematic search was performed in the Cochrane Library, PubMed, clinical trial registries, Embase, the Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang, and Weipu databases for studies comparing sCAIS and dCAIS up to April 16, 2024.

In this study, we propose a novel approach known as de novo deracemization synthesis, which involves direct utilization of simple substrates undergoing both photochemical transformation and reversible photochemical transformation. The efficient enantiocontrol of chiral catalysts in the latter process establishes an effective platform for deracemization.

Consequently, successful instances of deracemization of allenes have been established, where the activated energy of photosensitizer should surpass that of the substrates, representing an intrinsic requirement. Accordingly, this method is not applicable for axially chiral molecules with significantly high triplet energies.

The structures were determined by HRESIMS, IR, NMR, X-ray diffraction and ECD spectroscopic analysis. All isolates were assayed for their anti-hyperglycemic activities in insulin resistance (IR) 3T3-L1 adipocytes, and compound 4 was tested for its anti-diabetic activity in vivo.

A series of valuable azaarene-functionalized 1,2-amino alcohols featuring attractive quaternary carbon stereocenters have been synthesized in high yields with good to excellent enantioselectivities. The viability of readily accessible -aryl glycines as reaction partners facilitates the conjugate modification of these products into important derivatives, thereby enhancing the synthetic utility of the current approach.

Herein, we report on the viability of cooperative ConPET and chiral hydrogen-bonding catalysis for the [3+2] photocycloaddition of cyclopropyl ketones with vinylazaarenes.

The development of near-infrared organic fluorescent dyes with tunable emission profiles is highly required in the field of biological sensing and imaging. In this paper, we designed and synthesized two organic fluorescent dyes, DCM-1 and DCM-2, through the hybridization of indolizine and dicyanomethylene-4H-pyran skeleton. These two compounds show near-infrared fluorescence with emission maximum approximately at 640 and 680 nm, respectively.
