Heptageniidae are known for their flat heads and bodies and are divided into three subfamilies. Despite the extensive diversity within this group and considerable efforts made to understand their evolutionary history, the internal classifications and origin time of Heptageniidae remains controversial. In this study, we newly sequenced 17 complete mitogenomes of Heptageniidae to reconstruct their phylogenetic positions within this family.

Since the sister clade to Potamanthidae has always been controversial, we sequenced seven mt genomes of Potamanthidae (two species from and five species from ) in order to rebuild the phylogenetic relationships of Potamanthidae in this study. The divergence time of Potamanthidae was also investigated by utilizing five fossil calibration points because of the indeterminate origin time.

Methods: Pediatric patients with active PNS and normal renal function (the nephrotic syndrome group), pediatric patients with chronic renal failure (the renal failure group), and children who had healthy physical examinations (the control group) were included. The serum levels of FGF21, total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), high-density lipoprotein (HDL-C), and low-density lipoprotein (LDL-C) were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and the serum albumin and 24 h urine protein were measured in the PNS group.

Background: Several studies have shown that N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) is strongly correlated with the complexity of coronary artery disease and the prognosis of patients with non-ST segment elevation acute coronary syndrome (NSTE-ACS), However, it remains unclear about the prognostic value of NT-proBNP in patients with NSTE-ACS and multivessel coronary artery disease (MCAD) undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Therefore, this study aimed to reveal the relationship between NT-proBNP levels and the prognosis for NSTE-ACS patients with MCAD undergoing successful PCI.
Methods: This study enrolled 1022 consecutive NSTE-ACS patients with MCAD from January 2010 to December 2014.

Objective: To explore the synergistic immunomodulatory mechanism of interferon alpha-1b, interleukin-2 and thalidomide (ITI) regimen on patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
Methods: Sixty eight untreated de novo or relapsed or refractory or maintenance therapy patients with AML admitted in the Affiliated Cancer Hospital of Zhengzhou University and the other 11 medical units from March 2016 to May 2019 were treated with ITI regimen. Peripheral blood specimen per patient was collected into EDTA-K3 anticoagulation vacuum tube before the administration of ITI and 3 months after the treatment; peripheral blood lymphocyte subsets and perforin and Granzyme B expression were analyzed by using flow cytometry; the levels of VEGF, IFN-γ, TNF-α and IL-6 in the plasma were detected by using a cytometric bead array.
Purpose: In-hospital statin dosage-related effect remains unknown for patients with arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD). This study aimed to determine the associations of different in-hospital intensive statins dosages with the prognosis for patients in the era of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
Methods: From January 2010 to December 2014, consecutive ASCVD patients receiving PCI were enrolled from five centres in China.
Background: Particulate matter 2.5 (PM2.5) refers to particulate matter with aerodynamic equivalent diameter less than or equal to 2.

Material And Methods: HeLa cells were stimulated with different concentrations of human semen. MTT assay was used to analyze the effects on cell proliferation.
Importance: The association of parenteral anticoagulation therapy with improved outcomes in patients with non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndrome was previously established. This benefit has not been evaluated in the era of dual antiplatelet therapy and percutaneous coronary intervention.
Objective: To evaluate the association between parenteral anticoagulation therapy and clinical outcomes in patients with non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndrome undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention.
Background: Exposure to fine particulate matter (particulate matter ≤2.5 μm [PM2.5]) increases the risk of allergic rhinitis (AR), but the underlying mechanisms remains unclear.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA growing number of molecular epidemiological studies have been conducted to evaluate the association between human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and the malignancy of sinonasal inverted papilloma (SNIP). However, the results remain inconclusive. Here, a meta-analysis was conducted to quantitatively assess this association.

Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is characterized with progressive memory loss and severe cognitive impairments, which affect everyday life and human health in the elderly. It is required that an effective and safe protective reagent against AD should be developed. It has been reported that humanin (HN) exerts neuroprotective effects against AD.

Objective: To Evaluate the incidence rates and extents of deglutition disorder in patients with laryngeal carcinoma after different types of supracricoid partial laryngectomy.
Methods: Retrospective analysis of postoperative deglutition disorder in patients with laryngeal carcinoma after different types of supracricoid partial laryngectomy treated in our department from 2005 to 2009. The extents of postoperative deglutition disorder were evaluated using a homemade quantitative score table at 5-20 days postoperation.

Objective: To compare the results of extended vertical partial laryngectomy (similar to modified supracricoid partial laryngectomy with cricohyoidoepiglottopexy) and cricohyoidoepiglottopexy in the treatment of laryngeal carcinoma.
Methods: Retrospectively analyzed on the results and prognosis in patients underwent extended vertical partial laryngectomy and cricohyoidoepiglottopexy between 1998 and 2005. The operation was similar to extended vertical partial laryngectomy.
By using 3-year field experimental results and related meteorological observation data, the dynamic characteristics of leaf area index (LAI) and the allocation characters of ecological resources for different yielding spring maize (Zea Mays L.) population in Huadian of Jilin Province were studied. The results showed that the dynamic characteristics of relative LAI, with the relative growth days of test population, relative effective accumulated temperature, relative sunshine hours and relative rainfall as independent variables, fitted rational formula y = (a + bx) /(1 + cx + dx2), and the regression equation of maize yield with the ratios of growth days before and after silking (x1), effective accumulated temperature before and after silking (x2), rainfall before and after silking (x3), and sunshine hours before and after silking (x4) was y = 5465.

Objective: To investigate the specific genetic alterations in nasal NK/T cell lymphoma (N-NK/T-L) and the significance thereof.
Methods: Restriction landmark genomic scanning (RLGS) was performed on the specimen of a case of N-NK/T-L and the peripheral blood leukocytes of the same case. The RLGS image was analyzed with the Virtual genome scan (VGS) software so as to discover abnormality of T-bet gene.
