To explore the responses of soil microorganisms to short-term nitrogen deposition in alpine meadow, we set three treatments of low nitrogen (5 g N·m·a), medium nitrogen (10 g N·m·a), and high nitrogen (15 g N·m·a) addition to investigate the effects of nitrogen-deposition induced alterations in plant diversity and soil physicochemical properties on microbial biomass carbon (MBC) and nitrogen (MBN) in a typical alpine meadow community of in Napahai. The results showed that nitrogen addition significantly increased soil MBC, MBN, and their quotients, with the increases of MBC being as high as 139.3% under medium nitrogen treatment.

Acute pancreatitis (AP) is inflammation of the pancreas, which may be due to a wide variety of etiologies that share a final common pathway of premature activation of pancreatic enzymes and resultant autodigestion of pancreatic parenchyma. Acute pancreatitis is easy to diagnose clinically, with the presence of at least 2 of the 3 criteria (upper abdominal pain, serum amylase or lipase level greater than 3 times the upper limit of normal, or characteristic findings on imaging studies) of the revised Atlanta classification. However, postmortem imaging examinations of pancreatitis are extremely rare, and very few successful cases have been reported.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the correlation of the bone mineral density (BMD) of the hip and lumbar spine with the distal radius cortical thickness (DRCT) measured on anteroposterior radiographs and establish a method for predicting osteoporosis.

The complete sequence of a novel RNA virus isolated from (TbRV-1) was determined to be 12,239 nucleotides in length with five non-overlapping, linearly arranged coding sequences (CDS), potentially encoding nucleoproteins, hypothetical proteins, matrix proteins, glycoproteins, and RNA-dependent RNA polymerases. Sequence analysis indicated that the RNA-dependent RNA polymerase of TbRV-1 shares a 65% nucleotide and 67% amino acid sequence identity with Hubei dimarhabdovirus 2, suggesting that TbRV-1 is a member of the dimarhabdovirus supergroup. This corresponded to the result of the phylogenetic analysis.

Isolated neurofibromas that affect the gastrointestinal tract are rare and almost always manifest as neurofibromatosis type 1 or multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2b. In this paper, we present a case of a 24-year-old female with abdominal pain who discharged a neurofibroma in her stool without any blood on it. A colonoscopy showed multiple small polyps in the sigmoid colon and a nodule in the ileocecus.

Two hundred eighteen PM and 202 PM samples were collected at three sampling sites to study the pollution characteristics of carbonaceous aerosols in Yulin from July 2015 to March 2016. Organic carbon (OC) and elemental carbon (EC) in the PM and PM samples were analyzed by a Multiwavelength Thermal/Optical Carbon Analyzer, and the characteristics, including pollution levels, temporal and spatial distributions, and possible sources of OC and EC, were investigated. The results showed that the OC and EC mass concentrations in PM in Yulin were 10.

Distribution characteristics, chemical constituents, and sources of particulate matter were measured using a scanning mobility particle sizer and single particle aerosol mass spectrometer during pollution monitoring that occurred between December 5 and December 11, 2016, in Nanning. Results showed that particulate matter (PM) sized between 20 nm-10 μm were concentrated in the 23 to 395 nm range, with a peak of 100 nm. Three new particle types were generated during the course of this monitoring.

To investigate the characteristics of atmospheric environment and possible cross-boundary transports in the north of South China Sea, field experiments were carried out on Weizhou Island from March to April, 2015. The concentration and particle size distributions of atmospheric particulate matters were measured, and the concentration characteristics and the source of particulate matters were analyzed in combination with meteorological factors and back trajectory analysis. The results showed that:the PM, PM and PMconcentrations were (21±12) μg·m, (35±19) μg·m, (43±20) μg·m, respectively.
