A palladium-catalyzed [4 + 1] annulation of -arylimidoyl chlorides with β-keto esters has been developed. In the presence of Pd(OAc), PCy, and KPO, a variety of fluoalkyl-containing -arylimidoyl chlorides smoothly underwent the cascade C-H imidoylation/deacylative Heck-type reactions to afford biologically important 2-fluoroalkyl indoles in moderate to good yields.

Article Synopsis
  • Testicular descent occurs in two stages: the transabdominal and inguinoscrotal stages, with androgens being crucial, especially in the second stage to help develop the gubernaculum, which guides the testis into the scrotum.
  • A study on Lhcgr KO mice showed that the gene Smoc1 was significantly suppressed without androgens but was strongly induced by testosterone, indicating its importance in gubernaculum development.
  • SMOC1 not only promotes the proliferation of gubernacular cells but also works alongside testosterone to enhance myogenic markers, suggesting it plays a key role in mediating the effects of androgens during testicular descent.

Objectives: We aimed to analyze lncRNAs, miRNAs, and mRNA expression profiles of bladder cancer (BC) patients, thereby establishing a gene signature-based risk model for predicting prognosis of patients with BC.

Methods: We downloaded the expression data of lncRNAs, miRNAs and mRNA from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) as training cohort including 19 healthy control samples and 401 BC samples. The differentially expressed RNAs (DERs) were screened using limma package, and the competing endogenous RNAs (ceRNA) regulatory network was constructed and visualized by the cytoscape.

A palladium-catalyzed cyclization reaction of phenols with trifluoromethyl-containing -bromo-β-chlorostyrenes has been developed. In the presence of palladium(II) acetate, tricyclohexylphosphine, and cesium carbonate, a variety of 6-trifluoromethyldibenzo[,]oxepines were prepared in moderate to good yields through the tandem O-alkenylation of general phenols and subsequent C-H arylation.

Aim: To investigate the retinoprotective role of Apigenin (Api) against high glucose (HG)-induced human retinal microvascular endothelial cells (HRMECs), and to explore its regulatory mechanism.

Methods: HRMECs were stimulated by HG for 48h to establish the cell model. Different concentrations of Api (2.
