It is promising but still challenging for the widespread application of aqueous zinc batteries due to the poor reversibility of the zinc anode caused by prevalent dendrite growth and pronounced interfacial side reactions. Herein, we report a rare soluble and water-stable high-nuclearity {NdSiW} polyoxotungstate. Interestingly, upon encountering Zn ions, the discrete {NdSiW} nanocluster undergoes a structural transformation to form an infinitely extended cluster-based {[Zn(HO)][NdSiW]} two-dimensional honeycomb layer, with which atomic-level Zn ion effects in reconstructing the layer are determined.

Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a multifactorial disease associated with retinal inflammation and vascular abnormalities and is the leading cause of vision loss or impairment in older or working-age adults worldwide. Therapies aimed at reducing the inflammatory response and unnecessary angiogenesis can help slow the progression of DR, which in turn can save patients' vision.

In this program, we constructed a novel training method and assessment system for microcatheter shaping in coil embolization of cerebral aneurysms with 3D technique, and evaluated its efficacy for microcatheter shaping training in junior neurovascular clinicians.
Methods: Patient-specific models for cerebral aneurysms in different locations and with different morphologies were selected by experienced senior neurovascular clinicians.

Introduction: Sialoliths can be removed by sialendoscopy in some cases. But sometimes it fails if the stone is located in the proximal or hilum of Wharton's duct.
Aim: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of the sialendoscopy-assisted intraoral incision approach to remove large stones located in the proximal or hilum of Wharton's duct, when sialendoscopy alone fails.
The equilibrium geometries, growth patterns, stabilities, and electronic properties of bimetallic Be₂Si(n) (n = 1-11) clusters are systematically investigated at the B3LYP/6-311G(d) level of theory. Harmonic vibrational analysis has been performed to assure that the optimized geometries are stable. The optimized results suggest that the three-dimensional structures are observed for the most stable isomers of Be₂Si(n) clusters when n > 2.

The optimized geometries show that one Au atom capped on Au(n-1)Cs structures and Cs atom capped Au(n) structures for different sized Au(n)Cs (n = 1-10) clusters are two dominant growth patterns. Theoretical calculated results indicate that the most stable isomers have three-dimensional structures at n = 4 and 6-10.
