A chiral aldehyde/palladium catalysis-enabled asymmetric α-allylation of NH-unprotected amino acid esters with 1,3-disubstituted allyl acetates is described in this work. With the utilization of different chiral phosphine ligands, both the and selective allylation reactions are achieved enantioselectively. A series of α,α-disubstituted amino acid esters bearing two adjacent chiral centers are produced in moderate-to-excellent yields, diastereoselectivities, and enantioselectivities.

A Seroepidemiological Survey of and Infection in Chickens, Ducks, and Geese in Jilin Province, Northeastern China.

Although information on the seroprevalence of and in chickens can be found in China, knowledge on the infection of these two diseases in rural chickens, ducks, and geese is limited. Therefore, blood samples from 377 chickens, 268 ducks, and 379 geese were taken from rural areas in seven cities in northeastern China, and their seropositivity was analyzed by the indirect hemagglutination antibody (IHA) test with a cutoff titer of 1:64.

Aim: (±)Doxazosin is a long-lasting inhibitor of α1-adrenoceptors that is widely used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia and lower urinary tract symptoms. In this study we investigated the stereoselective binding of doxazosin enantiomers to the plasma proteins of rats, dogs and humans in vitro.

Methods: Human, dog and rat plasma were prepared.

Objective: To investigate the dynamic changes of urinary nephrin, and the relationship between it and urinary albumin excretion rate (UAER) in a diabetic rat model, as well the effects of yiqiyangyinhuayutongluo recipe.

Methods: Diabetic model was induced by high fat diet combined with low-dose Streptozotocin (STZ) in rats. Normal group (NG), model group (MG), and yiqiyangyinhuayutongluo recipe treated group (YHTG) were set.

Method: The model of SD rat early atherosclerosis was induced by cholesterol diet. The suspension of Zhikeping and simvastatin were administered intragastrically, respectively.

Objective: To study the protective efffects of Chailing Guiqi Decoction (CLGQD) combined with lumbrukinase on renal function in rats with adriamycin nephropathy.

Methods: Thirty-six SD rats were randomly divided into four groups: normal control group, untreated group, simvastatin-treated group and CLGQD -treated group. Adriamycin nephropathy was induced by intravenous injection with 5 mg/kg adriamycin.

[Experimental study of the specific immunoresponse induced by p53 modified dendritic cells].

Objective: To explore the specific cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) induced by dendritic cells (DC), which were transfected by the plasmid pC53-SN3 encoding p53 gene.

Methods: DC derived from HLA-A2(+) mononuclear cells of the 24-lung cancer patients was transfected with the plasmid pC53-SN3 by lipofectamine and then co-cultured with auto-unpurified T cells to induce potent CTL (T-pC53-SN3). The cytolysis of specific CTL against Calu-6, a HLA-A2(+) human lung cancer cell line, was measured by using lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) releasing assay.
