Psoriasis is a multifactorial immune-mediated inflammatory disease. Its pathogenesis involves abnormal accumulation of neutrophils and T-cell-related abnormalities. Pyroptosis is a type of regulated cell death associated with innate immunity, but its role in psoriasis is unclear.

Local injection of micro-dose guselkumab for palmoplantar pustulosis after partial failure of systemic ixekizumab treatment.

We present a palmoplantar pustulosis case partially resistant to systemic IL-17A inhibitor (ixekizumab) treatment, and then receiving a local injection of 0.1 mL micro-dose (1 mg) IL-23 inhibitor (guselkumab) every 4 weeks for four times. The paradoxical lesion disappeared rapidly following local injection and there was no recurrence after 8 weeks of drug withdrawal.

In this study, two demonstration study areas of Georgi were selected, and multiple chemical weathering indexes, chemical loss fraction, mass migration coefficients and biological enrichment coefficient method were used to assess the ecological and geochemical suitability.

Research Progress on the Pathogenesis of Aortic Dissection.

Aortic dissection is a critical cardiovascular disease due to the separation of media and adventitia caused by the rupture of vascular wall intima. The disease has a high mortality rate of about 1%-3% for each additional hour, since the adventitia of the aorta can rupture and bleed to death at any time. Although great progress has been made in clinical treatment of aortic dissection, and the mortality rate has been significantly reduced, the pathogenesis is still not very clear.

We report the use of ixekizumab in treating synovitis, acne, pustulosis, hyperostosis and osteitis (SAPHO) syndrome, the first such report to our knowledge. The patient presented with palmoplantar pustulosis and sternoclavicular joint pain, which was markedly improved with ixekizumab treatment.

Many nail dermoscopic features are considered as clues to NP. The multi-environment media of water, surface soil and vadose zone soil samples were collected in the upstream of Miyun Reservoir, in the Luanping Basin of Chengde City, Hebei Province. The aim was to identify the pollution source, ratio, spatial distribution, migration, and transformation characteristics of nitrogen in groundwater. Hydrogeochemistry, soil total nitrogen, and dissolved nitrate nitrogen of vadose zone soil analysis and a multi isotope tracer technique of N-NO and O-NO, S-SO and O-SO, C, combined with land-use type analysis and geostatistics, were used in the study.

Lichen Simplex Chronicus Secondary to Scald Injury and Skin Flap Transplantation.

A 50-year-old woman had suffered from chronic pruritic plaque located on right retroauricular area for around 16 years, which was diagnosed as lichen simplex chronicus. Seventeen years ago, patient had multiple scalded areas distributed throughout the body and underwent autologous skin flap transplantation for the right retroauricular wound. After the wound healed, patient started experiencing paresthesia continuously on the skin grafted area and could not resist scratching.

Background: IL-36 plays a critical role in aggravating psoriatic inflammation, which is significantly elevated in generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) compared to psoriasis vulgaris. It is well known that acitretin brings about a rapid and significant effect on the treatment of GPP but not psoriasis vulgaris, whereas the quick therapeutic mechanism of acitretin in GPP has not been fully clarified.
