Purpose: One of the primary causes of heat-induced compartment syndrome is the loss of elasticity of the body surface eschar itself, we have recently replaced escharotomy with conservative tangential excision in the treatment of compartment syndrome caused by heat and achieved good results.
Methods: Since 2019, our burn center has applied conservative tangential excision and heterogeneous dermal coverage technology for decompression treatment of 16 patients with thermal-induced compartment syndrome, involving 19 parts of the limbs and 5 parts of the chest and abdomen. All cases were treated with decompression under general anesthesia within 12-48 h after burn.
is widely recognized as a prominent medicinal herb employed by practitioners across various generations for the purpose of fortifying kidney yin. Within , the compound known as catalpol (CAT) holds significant importance as a bioactive constituent. However, the protective effects of CAT on kidneys, including ameliorative effects on chronic kidney disease - most prominently renal anemia and renal fibrosis - have not been clearly defined.

Among them, as a group containing more than 30,000 species, the phytophagous true bugs are making increasing impacts on agricultural and forestry ecosystems. Previous studies proved that symbiotic bacteria play important roles in these insects in fitting various habitats.

N6-methyladenosine (mA) modification of RNAs and long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) expression are important in tumorigenesis and progression. However, the regulatory roles of mA-associated lncRNAs in the tumor microenvironment, stratification of prognosis, and immunotherapy are unclear.

According to the investigation report, the 3-year survival rate of patients with lung cancer is less than 20%. Heredity, the environment, and long-term smoking or secondhand smoke greatly promote the development and progress of the disease.

The transition and occupation of these diverse habitats impose various challenges to true bugs, including access to oxygen for the aquatic species and plant defense for the terrestrial phytophagans. Although numerous studies have demonstrated that microorganisms can provide multiple benefits to terrestrial host insects, a systematic study with comprehensive higher taxa sampling that represents aquatic and semiaquatic habitats is still lacking.

Methods And Materials: Patients with OMD who received SBRT in a phase II single-arm research ethics board approved study were included. HRQOL was a secondary outcome.
Introduction: Controlling inflammation and apoptosis in trophoblasts is critical for treating gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Baicalein (Bai) exhibits anti-inflammatory and miRNA-related effects; however, its roles and mechanisms in GDM remain unknown. Therefore, we explored whether Bai inhibited inflammation and apoptosis in human trophoblasts (HTR8 cells) and analyzed its mechanisms.

However, little is known about the bacterial community of Tessaratoma papillosa which is one of the most destructive pests of the well-known fruits Litchi chinensis Sonn and Dimocarpus longan Lour in Oriental Region, especially in South-east Asia and adjacent areas. In this study, we surveyed the bacterial community diversity and dynamics of T.

However, it has not been fully investigated in others. We designed the current project to investigate the efficacy and safety of cisterna IDDS for pain relief in refractory pain above the middle thoracic vertebrae level in advanced cancer patients.

Objective: Currently, coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has spread worldwide and become a global health concern. Here, we report a familial cluster of six patients infected with severe acute respiratory coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) in a northern Chinese region and share our local experience with regard the control of COVID-19.
Methods: The demographic data, clinical features, laboratory examinations, and epidemiological characteristics of enrolled cases were collected and analyzed.
Silverweed cinquefoil roots, as dietary supplements, foods, and medicines, are widely used in western areas of China, specifically in Tibet Autonomous Region and Gansu and Qinghai Provinces. In this paper, 10 new natural pentacyclic triterpenoid saponins (-), named poterinasides A-J, along with 14 known compounds (-) were isolated and purified from silverweed cinquefoil roots. The chemical structures of - were established by extensive analysis of 1D and 2D NMR data and mass spectrometric data.

Meanwhile, with the development of sequencing technology, more and more studies begin to focus on broader biodiversity of insects and the corresponding mechanisms of insect microbial symbiosis, which need longer time collecting in the field. However, few studies have evaluated the effect of insect microbiome sample preservation approaches especially in different time durations or have assessed whether these approaches are appropriate for both next-generation sequencing (NGS) and third-generation sequencing (TGS) technologies.

Theoretically, inserting a catheter tip into the cisterna magna may be a promising solution. However, at present, there have been no reliable data regarding this novel technique.

Methods: Accordingly, 348 neuroendocrine tumor patients were enrolled as study objects, of which 244 (70%) patients were included in the training set to establish the nomogram model, while 104 (30%) patients were included in the validation set to verify the robustness of the model. First, the variables related to the survival rate were determined by univariable analysis.
Purpose: The spine is the most common site of bone metastasis from cancer and can be divided into 5 locational subsections, varying in mobility. The purpose of this research was to determine if the mobility of the metastases-bearing vertebral segment influenced pre-treatment pain intensity or health-related quality of life (HR-QoL) for patients about to receive palliative radiation therapy for painful spine metastasis.
Methods: This study was a retrospective chart review of patients referred to the Palliative Radiation Oncology Program, about to receive radiation therapy for vertebral metastasis between January 2014 and June 2016.
Combined radiation-wound injury (CRWI) is characterized by blood vessel damage and pro-inflammatory cytokine deficiency. Studies have identified that the direct application of leptin plays a significant role in angiogenesis and inflammation. We established a sustained and stable leptin expression system to study the mechanism.

Objective: To analyze the characteristics of clinical manifestation, imaging, fiber-bronchoscope finding and pulmonary function testing in the patients of relapsing polychodriti with respiratory symptoms.
Methods: The clinical data of 33 patients with RP in West China Hospital of Sichuan University from May 2007 to May 2017 were analyzed retrospectively. The patients were divided into respiratory group (21 cases) and non-respiratory group (12 cases) based on whether the respiratory symptoms were main involvement, and the data of the two groups were statistically analyzed.
