[Extraction of RNA from Stored Bone Marrow Smears for Detecting Expression of the WT1 Gene in MDS Patients].

RNA was extracted from stored bone marrow smears, expression of WT1 gene in the patients with MDS was examined by means of nest RT-PCR. The results showed WT1 gene was highly expressed in some cases of MDS. Expression rates were higher in the patients with RAEB and RAEB-t than those patients with RA and RAS.
