Background: Gastric adenocarcinoma of the fundic gland type (GA-FG) is a newly described variant of gastric adenocarcinoma with lack of knowledges regarding its genetic features.
Methods: We performed whole-genome sequencing (WGS) in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tumor tissues and matched adjacent noncancerous specimens from 21 patients with GA-FG, and integrated published datasets from 1105 patients with traditional gastric adenocarcinoma with the purpose of dissecting genetic determinants both common to conventional gastric adenocarcinoma and unique to GA-FG disease.
Results: We characterized the genomic architecture of GA-FG disease, revealing the predominant proportion of C > T substitution among the six types of SNVs.
Accurate state-of-health (SOH) estimation is critical for reliable and safe operation of lithium-ion batteries. However, reliable and stable battery SOH estimation remains challenging due to diverse battery types and operating conditions. In this paper, we propose a physics-informed neural network (PINN) for accurate and stable estimation of battery SOH.

However, the dynamic interaction between and the human gastric epithelium has not been fully investigated. In this study, using dual RNA sequencing technology, we characterized a cytotoxin-associated gene A ()-modulated bacterial adaption strategy by enhancing the expression of ATP-binding cassette transporter-related genes, and , upon coculturing with human gastric epithelial cells.

Lithium-ion batteries are widely used in modern society. Accurate modeling and prognosis are fundamental to achieving reliable operation of lithium-ion batteries. Accurately predicting the end-of-discharge (EOD) is critical for operations and decision-making when they are deployed to critical missions.

In this paper, plant fiber membranes with an opening area of 0 and thicknesses of 0.105 mm, 0.

The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of rhG-CSF administration on clinical efficacy and immune cell subsets after initial induction chemotherapy in AML.
Methods: The clinical efficacy and immune cell subsets were compared in the newly diagnosed patients with AML according to whether rhG-CSF was used after initial induction chemotherapy.
Unlabelled: AbstractObjective: To explore the distribution characteristics and clinical significance of peripheral blood monocyte subgroups in patients with diffuse large Bcell lymphoma(DLBCL).
Methods: The percentage of peripheral blood monocyte subsets of 82 DLBCL patients (including 32 newly diagnosis, 29 remission and 21 relapse) and 30 healthy controls were detected by flow cytometry, and the correlation with the clinical characteristics and its diagnostic value of DLBCL were analyzed.
Results: The proportion of intermediate monocytes in patients with newly diagnosed DLBCL group was higher than that in healthy controls (t=5.
Background: Colonic stenting reduces morbidity and stoma formation for left-sided colon cancer obstruction, and a prolonged interval between stenting and surgery with neoadjuvant chemotherapy administered might result in a lower stoma rate and tumor reduction.
Objective: The study aimed to evaluate the short-term outcomes of elective surgery following colonic stenting compared with elective surgery following colonic stenting and neoadjuvant chemotherapy in patients with left-sided colon cancer obstruction.
Design: This is a prospective multicenter cohort study.
The prevalence of rectal neuroendocrine tumors (RNET) has increased substantially over the past decades. Little is known on mechanistic alteration in the pathogenesis of such disease. We postulate that perturbations of human gut microbiome-metabolome interface influentially affect the development of RNET.

To enhance the anti-infection ability of ADM, we constructed a new form of ADM that was decorated with nano-silver ('NS-ADM'). The introduction of nano-silver did not destroy the decellularized structure of ADM, and no significant difference was detected with regards to the maximum tensile force when compared between NS-ADM and ADM (P = 0.

Methods: Eleven consecutive patients with obstructing left-sided colon cancer between May 2014 and November 2015 were included retrospectively. All patients received SEMS followed by neoadjuvant chemotherapy.
Background: This study is to evaluate trans-perineal minimally invasive approach for extralevator abdominoperineal excision (TP-ELAPE) in a synchronous lithotomy position for locally advanced low rectal cancer.
Methods: Between May 2013 and February 2016, 14 patients with locally advanced low rectal cancer underwent TP-ELAPE for the perineal phase of extralevator abdominoperineal excision, and 18 patients underwent conventional ELAPE.
Results: There was no positive circumferential resection margin in both groups.
Background: Reconstruction of the pelvic floor defect caused by extralevator abdominoperineal excision poses a challenge for the surgeon.
Objective: The aim of this study was to analyze the long-term perineal wound complications in patients undergoing conventional primary closure versus biological mesh-assisted repair after extralevator abdominoperineal excision.
Design: This was a single-institution retrospective observational study.
In this contribution, the ratcheting behavior and local field distribution of unidirectional metal matrix composites are investigated under cyclic loading. To that end, we extended the finite-volume direct averaging micromechanics (FVDAM) theory by incorporating the rule of nonlinear kinematic hardening. The proposed method enables efficient and accurate simulation of the ratcheting behavior of unidirectional composites.

Mechanical properties of composites manufactured by high-temperature polymer polyether ether ketone (PEEK) with continuous reinforced fibers are closely dependent on ambient temperature variations. In order to effectively study fatigue failure behaviors of composites under the coupled thermo-mechanical loading, a well-established microscopic model based on a representative volume element (RVE) is proposed in this paper. Stiffness degradation behaviors of the composite laminates at room and elevated temperatures are firstly investigated, and their failure strengths are compared with experimental data.

Atherosclerotic plaques can cause serious syndromes and mortality. Cholesterol accumulation in the plaques can disrupt the arterial flow, with lumen narrowing and stenosis, which contributes to heart attack and sudden cardiac death. The pharmacological treatment to atherosclerotic plaques can be anti-hypertensives, anti-cholesterol, and cleaning of the existed plaques.

Generalized Method of Cells in combination with an Improved Bodner-Partom Viscoplastic model is used to compute the inelastic deformation. The validation of presented model is proved by a fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) strain test system through uniaxial testing under two different strain rate conditions.
