Background: The early diagnosis of glottic laryngeal cancer is the key to successful treatment, and machine learning (ML) combined with narrow-band imaging (NBI) laryngoscopy provides a new idea for the early diagnosis of glottic laryngeal cancer.
Objective: To explore the clinical applicability of the diagnosis of early glottic cancer based on ML combined with NBI.
Material And Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on 200 patients diagnosed with laryngeal mass, and the general clinical characteristics and pathological results of the patients were collected.
Cynanchum wallichii (CW) is a traditional Chinese medicine which is widely used for treating arthrophlogosis, traumatic injury, and other conditions. Herein, we investigate the effects and mechanisms of CW and its bioactive constituent CW1 in reversing docetaxel (DTX) resistance in prostate cancer (PCa) cells. We investigated the reversal effects of CW and its bioactive constituent CW1 on 22Rv1/DTX cells in vitro and in vivo.

Method: The data of patients with infection after auricular reconstruction with tissue expansion from September 1, 2018 to August 30, 2024 were collected retrospectively.
Importance: Spousal involvement in diabetes care is recommended theoretically, but effectiveness in clinical settings and among diverse populations is unclear.
Objective: To test the effect of a couple-based intervention among Chinese older patients with type 2 diabetes and their spouses.
Design, Setting, And Participants: This multicenter randomized clinical trial comprised 2 arms: a couple-based intervention arm and an individual-based control.
Background: Dialysis Access (DA) stenosis impacts hemodialysis efficiency and patient health, necessitating exams for early lesion detection. Ultrasound is widely used due to its non-invasive, cost-effective nature. Assessing all patients in large hemodialysis facilities strains resources and relies on operator expertise.

Currently, there is no effective intervention that can completely cure it. One of the pathogenic mechanisms of ADHD involves abnormalities in the norepinephrine (NE) pathway within the prefrontal cortex (PFC).

Studies have reported the effects of cilostazol on cognitive function, but the results are inconsistent and have not been systematically assessed.
Methods: We systematically searched the PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane databases for relevant clinical studies.
Nanozymes with oxidase (OXD)-like activity have emerged as promising antibacterial agents due to their capability of catalyzing atmospheric O to generate highly active free radicals. However, the precise engineering of functional nanozyme at the atomic level for antibacterial therapy presents a challenge. Here, atomically dispersed Fe atoms were loaded onto onion-like carbon (OLC) through a ligand-assisted calcination strategy, yielding a single-atom nanozyme (FeSA-OLC) with enhanced oxidase-like activity.

However, current research has mainly focused on metabolite biosynthesis and regulation, and little is known about their transport. Tanshinone, a class diterpenoid with medicinal properties, is biosynthesized in the periderm of Salvia miltiorrhiza roots.

Methods: The heterogeneity of the AS single-cell data set GSE131778 was analyzed using Seurat. Tissue sequencing data GSE28829 and GSE43292 were analyzed for immune cell abundance using CIBERSORT.
Background: Cerebral infarction is a health problem of global concern and brings a particular burden to medical treatment.
Objective: To analyze the correlation between insulin resistance (IR) levels and changes in cerebral atherosclerosis (AS) degree in non-diabetic patients with cerebral infarction.
Methods: A total of 134 non-diabetic patients with cerebral infarction who visited the Department of Neurology of our hospital from May 2019 to October 2020 were selected and underwent MRA/CTA (Magnetic resonance angiography/Computed tomography angiography) of cerebral arteries to refine the cerebrovascular imaging data, and according to the results of cerebral AS load, the patients were divided into mild AS group and severe AS group, and the insulin resistance index was calculated with HOMA-IR (homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance) to evaluate the IR level and HOMA-IR was compared between the two groups.
Background: In this pilot study, we describe a novel technique for creating a snuffbox fistula (SBF) and present the preliminary outcomes after 4-6 weeks of follow-up.
Methods: The study included eight male patients with a mean age of 50 years (range 36-66 years). All patients received an SBF using the modified no-touch technique (MNTT) and piggyback straight-line on-lay technique (pSLOT).
Since the inception of the concept of nanozymes, there has been a growing interest in the rational design and controllable synthesis of nanozymes with adjustable activities. In this study, onion-liked carbon (OLC) with remarkable peroxidase-like (POD) activity are developed through delicately controlling the sp/sp configuration. The investigation reveals that enzymatic activity of OLC increases first and then decreases with the increased graphitic degree, with the highest activity observed at a moderate sp/sp ratio of 17.

Nitrogen removal efficiencies decreased significantly when C/N was reduced (1.5 → 0.

While exogenous calcium (Ca) has been shown to confer plant immune responses against thrips, the detailed mechanisms of this interaction remain to be elucidated for improved thrips management strategies. This study aimed to assess the impact of exogenous Ca on WFT feeding behavior and to explore its role in enhancing the defense mechanisms of kidney bean plants against WFT attacks.
