Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy is a promising therapeutic strategy against lymphoma. However, post-treatment relapses due to antigen loss remain a challenge. Here the authors designed a novel bicistronic CAR construct and tested its functions in vitro and in vivo.

Network pharmacology analysis and virtual screening were utilized to find out related proteins and investigate candidates with high docking capacity to multiple targets. Graph neural networks (GNNs) and machine learning were used to build reliable predicted models.

Herein, a novel paper-based analytical device (PAD) is designed through wax printing and screen-printed technologies, which integrates sample flowing, electrode modification, cleaning and electrochemical (EC)/colorimetric signal output. To greatly enhance the detection sensitivity, we synthesized a chitosan functionalized MoS-Au@Pt (Ch-MoS-Au@Pt) via electrostatic self-assembly, and used it to immobilize the label aptamer (apta) for signal regulation and amplification.

Counterintuitively, NF-κB by the HTLV-1 transactivator/oncoprotein Tax induces a senescence response, and HTLV-1 infections in culture mostly result in senescence or cell-cycle arrest due to NF-κB How NF-κB induces senescence, and how ATL cells maintain NF-κB and avert senescence, remain unclear. Here we report that NF-κB by Tax increases R-loop accumulation and DNA double-strand breaks, leading to senescence.

Methods: Three hundred fifty-nine participants (mean age 46 ± 13 years, body mass index 26.1 ± 4.
Background: Dermatologic toxicities are the common adverse events (AE) with several chemotherapy agents, but they are usually neglected in the research literature and clinical practice, and there are no clinically safe and effective methods to solve the problem. This study was to determine whether a medicinal and edible decoction YH0618 is effective in accelerating reducing chemotherapy-induced dermatologic toxicity in cancer patients who have completed chemotherapy.
Methods: This was a prospective randomized controlled trial conducted between 2015 and 2017.
Objectives: To establish a new ambulatory blood pressure (ABP) parameter (24-hour ABP profile) and evaluated its performance on stroke outcome in ischaemic stroke (IS) or transient ischaemic attack (TIA) patients.
Methods: The prospective cohort consisted of 1996 IS/TIA patients enrolled for ABP monitoring and a 3-month follow-up for stroke recurrence as outcome. Profile groups of systolic blood pressure (SBP) were identified via an advanced functional clustering method, and the associations of the profile groups and conventional ABP parameters with stroke recurrence were examined in a Cox proportional hazards model.
Unlabelled: Tinea capitis remains a common public health problem worldwide, especially in developing countries.
Objectives: To investigate the changes of the predominant dermatophytes of tinea capitis in children in Hangzhou in recent 9 years.
Methods: The age, gender and pathogen spectrum of 650 children with tinea capitis at the Department of Dermatology, Affiliated Third People's Hospital of Hangzhou, Anhui Medical University from 2011 to 2019 were analysed, and the distribution of pathogens from 1998 to 2000 was compared.
Purpose: With the aim of recommending proper anticoagulation for patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) and diabetes mellitus, we performed the network meta-analysis comparing the non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulants (NOACs) and warfarin in terms of efficacy (stroke or systemic embolism) and safety (major bleeding) outcome.
Methods: A systematic search of PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science and Cochrane Library was performed with the items "dabigatran, edoxaban, apixaban, rivaroxaban, warfarin, AF and diabetes mellitus". On the basis of R (version 3.
A new metal-organic framework compound (MOF@MOF, NUZ-8) comprised of NH-UiO-66 and ZIF-8 under the polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) as the structure modifier was synthesized through an internal extended growth method (IEGM). The resulting NUZ-8 emerged the unreported unique polyhedron shape and showed considerable specific surface area (1466.1862 m/g), excellent adsorption capacity, and fluorescence.

The synthesized MHNTs-MIPs were characterized by fourier transform infrared, scanning electron microscope, transmission electron microscope, XRD and vibrating sample magnetometer. Various parameters influencing the binding capacity of the MHNTs-MIPs were investigated with the help of response surface methodology.

Methods: We collected the clinical data and peripheral blood from 2 patients with globozoospermia and screened for mutation of the DPY19L2 gene by PCR amplification and DNA sequencing technology.
Results: The sperm from the 2 globozoospermia patients were round morphologically under the light microscope, with deeply stained nuclei but no acrosome.
Pesticides play a very important role in pest control and plant protection. However, they can be limited by a tendency to cause ecological system damage due to significant losses into the environment. To increase pesticide utilization efficiency, we developed highly leaf-adhesive avermectin nanocapsules (Av-pH-cat@CS) with pH-responsive controlled release properties.

MADS-box transcription factors participate in regulating various developmental processes in plants. Inflorescence architecture is one of the most important agronomic traits and is closely associated with grain yield in most staple crops.

To date, the Triton System, based on feature extraction technology (FET), has been applied to estimate intra-operative haemoglobin (Hb) loss but is unable to directly assess the amount of blood loss. We aimed to develop a method for the dynamic and precise EBL and estimate Hb loss (EHL) based on artificial intelligence (AI).

Using a fixed RIL population derived from a widely used foxtail millet backbone breeding line and an elite cultivar, we constructed a high-density bin map and identified six novel multi-environment effect QTLs and seven candidate genes for dwarf phenotype. Plant height is an important trait that determines tradeoffs between competition and resource allocation, which is crucial for yield potential. To improve the C4 model plant foxtail millet (Setaria italica) productivity, it is necessary to isolate plant height-related genes that contribute to ideal plant architecture in breeding.

Here, we found that exosomes derived from phosphoantigen-expanded Vδ2-T cells (Vδ2-T-Exos) contained death-inducing ligands (FasL and TRAIL), an activating receptor for natural killer (NK) cells (NKG2D), immunostimulatory ligands (CD80 and CD86), and antigen-presenting molecules (MHC class I and II). Vδ2-T-Exos targeted and efficiently killed EBV-associated tumor cells through FasL and TRAIL pathways and promoted EBV antigen-specific CD4 and CD8 T cell expansion.
