Traditional segmentation methods are difficult to achieve precise segmentation of CT images mainly due to the presence of these metal artifacts.

The spatial interaction of chromosomes is regarded as an important issue affecting the regulation of gene expression, and the high-throughput chromosome conformation capture (Hi-C) technology has become the primary tool to explore the temporal and spatial interactions of chromosomes in three-dimensional genomics. With the continuous accumulation of Hi-C samples and the increasing complexity of pipelines, the bioinformatic analysis of Hi-C data has been considered an opportunity and a challenge for understanding the spatial regulation mechanism of gene expression. In this paper, the current status and development outline of bioinformatic methods for Hi-C data are introduced, including data normalization, multi-level structure analysis, data visualization and 3D modeling, especially of multi-level structure at A/B compartments, topological associated domains (TADs) and chromain looping levels.

Three years of follow-up of otodental syndrome in 3-year-old Chinese boy: a rare case report.

Background: Otodental syndrome is an exceptionally rare autosomal dominant condition characterized by a delayed eruption of posterior teeth, globodontia, lisping, and sensorineural hearing loss. In this case report, we reported a 3-year-old Chinese boy with the otodental syndrome.

Influence of the auxiliary acceptor on the absorption response and photovoltaic performance of dye-sensitized solar cells.

Three new dyes with a 2-(1,1-dicyanomethylene)rhodanine (IDR-I, -II, -III) electron acceptor as anchor were synthesized and applied to dye-sensitized solar cells. We varied the bridging molecule to fine tune the electronic and optical properties of the dyes. It was demonstrated that incorporation of auxiliary acceptors effectively increased the molar extinction coefficient and extended the absorption spectra to the near-infrared (NIR) region.
