Background: Diabetic retinopathy (DR), the principal cause of acquired blindness among the working-age population, is the most frequent microvascular complication of diabetes. Although metabolic disorders are hypothesized to play a role in its pathogenesis, the underlying mechanism remains largely elusive.

In this study, plasmids targeting the normal hepatocyte cell line (L-O2) and hepatocellular carcinoma cell line were generated using three genes SIRT3, SIRT4, and SIRT5. Our results indicate that most severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 genomes sampled from patients had a mutation rate ≤1.07 ‰ and genome-tail proteins (including S protein) were the main sources of genetic polymorphism. The analysis of the virus-host interaction network of genome-tail proteins showed that they shared some antiviral signaling pathways, especially the intracellular protein transport pathway.

Aim: To assess AB-BEZ235-NP potential as a radio-sensitizer in hepatocellular carcinoma models.

Method: By comparing hepatocellular carcinoma cell with simple radiation or combined AB-BEZ235-NP therapy, the HCC apoptosis and self-repair level have significant differences in mortality rates and cell migration abilities.

Results: Cell proliferation and DNA damage increased by pretreatment with AB-BEZ235-NP after irradiation; further studies on the repair pathway indicated that AB-BEZ235-NP inhibited the important pathway of DSB repair.
