Lightning localization is of great significance to weather forecasting, forest fire prevention, aviation, military, and other aspects. Traditional lightning localization requires the deployment of base stations and expensive measurement equipment. With the development of IoT technology and the continuous expansion of application scenarios, IoT devices can be interconnected through sensors and other technical means to ultimately achieve the goal of automatic intelligent computing.

Indoor trajectory matching aims to achieve the monitoring of the encounters between people and trajectory analysis in indoor environments. Due to constraints ofn the computation abilities IoT devices, the computation of indoor trajectory matching requires the assistance of a cloud platform, which brings up privacy concerns.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTarget tracking is a critical technique for localization in an indoor environment. Current target-tracking methods suffer from high overhead, high latency, and blind spots issues due to a large amount of data needing to be collected or trained. On the other hand, a lightweight tracking method is preferred in many cases instead of just pursuing accuracy.

In order to achieve the parallel transmissions of the wireless sensor network on the transmission layer, the performance of stream control transmission protocol (SCTP) and transmission control protocol (TCP) in the wireless sensor network under different packet error rates was simulated and compared. A dynamic multipath handover method for SCTP (MS-SCTP) was proposed to improve the transmission performance, which selects the transmission path according to the packet error rate and the retransmission ratio in the sender's buffer.
