Purpose: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of intravenous tranexamic acid (TXA) in patients undergoing percutaneous kyphoplasty (PKP), and identify the factors influencing hidden blood loss (HBL).
Methods: This randomized, placebo-controlled trial included 146 patients undergoing PKP surgery from September 2023 to July 2024. Patients were randomly assigned into the TXA group (75 patients received 1.
Objective: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of intravenous tranexamic acid (TXA) administration in anterior cervical discectomy fusion (ACDF) for the treatment of cervical spondylosis in the elderly.
Methods: Data from elderly patients who underwent ACDF between January 2020 and January 2023 were retrospectively reviewed. Patients who received 1 g intravenous TXA administration before skin incision (TXA group) were compared with patients who did not receive TXA (controls).
Mild thermal stimulation plays an active role in bone tissue repair and regeneration. In this work, a bioactive polydopamine/TiC/poly(vinylidene fluoride trifluoroethylene) (PDA/TiC/P(VDF-TrFE)) nanocomposite coating with excellent near-infrared light (NIR)-triggered photothermal effect was designed to improve the osteogenic ability of implants. By incorporating dopamine (DA)-modified TiC nanosheets into the P(VDF-TrFE) matrix and combining them with alkali initiated in situ polymerization, the resulting PDA/TiC/P(VDF-TrFE) nanocomposite coating gained high adhesion strength on Ti substrate, excellent tribological and corrosion resistance properties, which was quite important for clinical application of implant coatings.

This study aims to explore the risk factors associated with allogeneic blood transfusion after surgery and to develop a dynamic prediction model to predict post-operative blood transfusion requirements. This will provide more accurate guidance for perioperative humoral management and rational allocation of medical resources.

Objective: To evaluate the feasibility of S alar iliac screw insertion in Chinese children using computerized three-dimension reconstruction and simulated screw placement technique, and to optimize the measurement of screw parameters.
Methods: A total of 83 pelvic CT data of children who underwent pelvic CT scan December 2018 to December 2020 were retrospectively analyzed, excluding fractures, deformities, and tumors. There were 44 boys and 39 girls, with an average age of (10.
Purpose: Extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) has been reported as a new therapy for carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). However, few studies have compared ESWT with the local corticosteroid injection (LCI).
Methods: In this study, a randomized controlled trial comparing 30 patients with ESWT and 25 patients treated with LCI was conducted.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the feasibility of posterior occipital condyle screw (OCS) placement analysis of the safe trajectory area for screw insertion.
Methods: Computed tomographic angiography scans of patients (46 males and 27 females) with normal occipitocervical structures were obtained consecutively. Vertebral artery (VA)-occiput distance <4.
Objective: To compare the clinical and radiological outcome between the modified Broström repair with augmentation using suture tape (MBA) and the modified Broström repair (MB) for patients with chronic lateral ankle instability.
Methods: A retrospective study was performed in Ningbo No. 6 Hospital.
