Dual-band electrochromic energy storage (DEES) windows, which are capable of selectively controlling visible (VIS) and near-infrared (NIR) light transmittance, have attracted research attention as energy-saving devices that integrate electrochromic (EC) and energy storage functions. Coatings for passive radiative cooling applications must be highly reflected in the solar spectrum, and thus can hardly support any coloration without losing their functionality. In this work, a colorful daytime radiative cooling surface based on structural coloration is reported. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) has been known to cause alveolar epithelial cell (AEC) apoptosis and barrier breakdown that characterize acute lung injury (ALI) and acute respiratory distress syndrome. We aimed to investigate whether mitoquinone (MitoQ), a mitochondria-targeted antioxidant, could alleviate LPS-induced AEC damage in ALI and its underlying mechanisms. In vitro studies in AEC A549 cell line, we noted that LPS could induce dynamin-related protein 1 (Drp1)-mediated mitochondrial fission, AEC apoptosis and barrier breakdown, which could be reversed with MitoQ and mitochondrial division inhibitor 1 treatment.

Based on the panel data of 255 cities in China, this study built a spatial Durbin model to study the impact of China's industrialization on the PM pollution level. Meanwhile, an environmental governance tool characterized by forest and grass coverage was introduced to explore the internal mechanism and exogenous driving force of EKC. The results show that ① the relationship between industrialization and PM concentration is obviously an inverted u-shaped, and the EKC hypothesis was verified.

Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been suggested to serve vital roles in tumor initiation and progression. However, the expression and underlying mechanisms of lncRNA FBXL19-AS1 in breast cancer (BC) remain unclear. Magnesium hydride is regarded as one of the most ideal candidates for hydrogen storage, but its relatively high operating temperatures and slow kinetics always hinder its commercial applications. Herein, we first fabricated hard-carbon-sphere-wrapped Ni (Ni/HCS) a mild chemical method; subsequently, the as-prepared additive was introduced to fabricate an Mg-Ni/HCS composite by using hydriding combustion synthesis. Hard carbon spheres (HCS) effectively inhibited the agglomeration of hydride particles during hydrogen storage cycling; they could also provide active sites to promote the nucleation of Mg-based hydrides.
