Bacteria-algae consortia in the light bring the benefit of O production and CO reduction for wastewater treatment, while the bottleneck for application is how it behaves in the dark. In this study, inoculum ratio and sludge retention time (SRT) affected nutrient removal rather than chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal. Dark conditions (with a sludge/Chlorella inoculum ratio of 1:2 at a SRT of 15 d) achieved comparable performance to those of light conditions, due to bacteria contribution and mechanical aeration.

Vanadium nitride is widely used because of its excellent properties. The existing production methods are affected by the problems of complex preparation for the vanadium source, high temperature, and low N content. In this work, a wide range of vanadium solutions were used as the vanadium source to prepare vanadium nitride with high N content.

It is important to study the effect of Fe(III) on the positive electrolyte, in order to provide some practical guidance for the preparation and use of vanadium electrolyte. The effect of Fe(III) on the thermal stability and electrochemical behaviour of the positive electrolyte for the vanadium redox flow battery (VRFB) was investigated. When the Fe(III) concentration was above 0.

In order to figure out the decomposition of muscovite and the release mechanism of vanadium from vanadium shale in the alkaline fusion process, the process of vanadium release and roasting kinetics by alkaline fusion was studied. It was found that the addition of sodium hydroxide made the muscovite convert into the sodium silicate and gehlenite. This process promoted the dissolution of silicon and the destruction of muscovite, which could facilitate the release of vanadium.
