Have the Pilot County Hospitals' Service Capability Been Improved Since the Healthcare Reform? An Analysis of 370 Hospitals in China.

Background: County public hospital reform is one of the major tasks proposed in Chinese Healthcare Reform., and the evaluation of hospital reform effectiveness is very important and beneficial since it helps the government to understand the current situation of pilot county public hospitals and smoothly start the reform in all county hospitals.

Methods: This study used hospitals data from 2009 to 2012 to evaluate the effectiveness of county public hospital reform through comprehensive service capability.

The effect of critical illness insurance in China.

Critical illness insurance to reduce the incidence of catastrophic health expenditure was implemented in China in 2012. The aim of this study is to explore the implementation status and medical guarantee effect of critical illness insurance in various cities.We extracted insurance reimbursement data for 2014 from the critical illness insurance information systems of 4 cities.

Motivations, challenges and coping strategies for smoking cessation: Based on multi-ethnic pregnant couples in far western China.

The present study aimed to clarify the smoking cessation motivations, challenges and coping strategies among pregnant couples. A qualitative design using a grounded theory approach was applied. Data were collected by individual semi-structured interviews with 39 married individuals (21 non-smoking pregnant women and 18 smoking or ever-smoking men with a pregnant wife) and 3 imams in an ethnically diverse region of far western China.
