Acoustic characteristics of bedrooms in two types of long-term care facilities in China.

The aim of this study was to quantitatively determine the acoustic characteristics of bedrooms in two types of long-term care facilities in China. Objective acoustic conditions, including noise levels and reverberation times, were measured through a series of acoustic measurements in twelve bedrooms in two nursing homes and three adult care homes in Kunming city, China. The impacts of noise and sound preferences were evaluated through a questionnaire survey administered to residents and nursing staff.
