Rechargeable lithium-ion batteries with high energy density and fast-charging capability are vital for commercial applications. Disordered rocksalt (DRX) materials with a cation/anion ratio greater than one, achieved through additional lithium insertion, have emerged as promising high-rate anode candidates. Inspired by the previously reported LiVO (0 ≤ ≤ 2) anode, a comprehensive search was conducted for all potential redox centers using high-throughput density functional theory (DFT) computations.

This work puts forth an end-to-end deep learning framework that is uniquely tailored for versatile EEG analysis tasks by directly operating on raw waveform inputs. It aims to address the challenges of manual feature engineering and the neglect of spatial interrelationships in existing methodologies.

These materials are considered for use as effective ionic conductors for solid state batteries or as matrices for immobilization of actinide elements, amongst many other applications. In this contribution we discuss the simulation-based effort made in the Institute of Energy and Climate Research at Forschungszentrum Jülich and partner institutions regarding reliable computation of properties of pyrochlore and defect fluorite compounds.

A prime example are fuel cells, which have undergone five such cycles, but here we discuss a general concept of kinetics-the pre-exponential factor of a rate constant-which has undergone two such cycles. The first cycle was in the 1950-1980s, when the methods of electrochemical kinetics were developed, and the interpretation was based on transition-state theory.

Superparamagnetic iron oxide is encapsulated inside nonporous silica as the core to provide magnetic targeting. Carboxymethyl chitosan-folic acid (OCMCS-FA) synthesized through coupling folic acid (FA) with OCMCS is then covalently linked to the silica shell and renders new and improved functions because of the original biocompatible properties of OCMCS and the targeting efficacy of FA.
