Random ternary polymerization is a strategy for tuning the energy levels and improving the batch-to-batch reproducibility of polymer semiconductors for the application in polymer solar cells (PSCs). However, the influence of third component incorporation on exciton properties and charge photogeneration processes in terpolymer-based solar cells is still unclear. In this work, time-resolved spectroscopies were employed to study exciton properties and charge photogeneration processes in PSCs based on a series of terpolymers, PM1 and PM2, which have 20% and 50% of thiophene-thiazolothiazole (TTz) building blocks on the PM6 backbone, respectively.

Herein, carrier recombination processes in bare and [MAPbCl][CsPbBr]-covered CsPbBr SCs were studied using time-resolved spectroscopic techniques, including steady-state and time-resolved photoluminescence (TRPL) spectroscopy and time-resolved microwave photoconductivity (TRMC). By comparing the kinetics of TRPL and TRMC, we concluded that surface hole-trapping process dominates the TRPL kinetics of bare CsPbBr SCs and surface electron-trapping process dominates the slower decay component in TRMC.

In this study, a tissue-adhesive and antibacterial hydrogel incorporating MXene and deferoxamine (DFO)-loaded microspheres is developed for the treatment of MDR bacteria-infected diabetic wounds. The hydrogel is built based on covalent crosslinking between ε-poly(L-lysine) and o-phthalaldehyde-terminated four-arm poly(ethylene glycol).

Road curb extraction is a critical component of road environment perception, being essential for calculating road geometry parameters and ensuring the safe navigation of autonomous vehicles. The existing research primarily focuses on extracting curbs from ordered point clouds, which are constrained by their structure of point cloud organization, making it difficult to apply them to unordered point cloud data and making them susceptible to interference from obstacles. To overcome these limitations, a multi-feature-filtering-based method for curb extraction from unordered point clouds is proposed.

The progression of heat-related illnesses is a continuous process and can progress to the terminal period when it transforms into heat stroke, the most severe form. Heat stroke is markedly by a core body temperature above 40°C and central nervous system dysfunction.

Methods: We improved the technique notes on the management of superior sagittal or transverse sinus in three FM patients with signs of increased intracranial pressure or chronic headache.
Results: All patients underwent surgeries in the prone position, and occipital/sup-occipital/sub-occipital craniotomy was performed.
Dural defects and subsequent complications, including cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leakage, are common in both spine surgery and neurosurgery, and existing clinical treatments are still unsatisfactory. In this study, a tissue-adhesive and low-swelling hydrogel sealant comprising gelatin and -phthalaldehyde (OPA)-terminated 4-armed poly(ethylene glycol) (4aPEG-OPA) is developed via the OPA/amine condensation reaction. The hydrogel shows an adhesive strength of 79.

Activation and polarization of microglia play decisive roles in the progression of intracerebral haemorrhage (ICH), and lactate exposure correlates with microglia polarization. This study explores molecules influencing lactate production and microglia phenotype alteration following ICH. A murine model of ICH was induced by intracerebral injection of collagenase.

Here, injectable and biocompatible hydrogel adhesives are developed via catalyst-free phthalaldehyde/amine (hydrazide) cross-linking reaction. The hydrogels demonstrate rapid and firm adhesion to various tissues, and an phthalaldehyde-mediated tissue adhesion mechanism is established.

However, the development of injectable hydrogels with excellent antibacterial activity, good biocompatibility, and strong tissue adhesion remains a challenge. In this study, an antibacterial tissue-adhesive hydrogel was developed based on a catalyst-free o-phthalaldehyde (OPA)/amine reaction by simply mixing OPA-terminated four-arm poly(ethylene glycol) (4aPEG-OPA) and ε-poly-l-lysine (ε-PLL) solutions.

Background: Glioma has a high incidence in young and middle-aged adults and a poor prognosis. Because of late diagnosis and uncontrollable recurrence of the primary tumor after failure of existing treatments, glioma patients tend to have a poor prognosis. Recent advances in research have revealed that gliomas exhibit unique genetic features.

The twelve meridian sinews of the human body communicate with the bones and joints of the whole body, which governs the movement, body protection and defense, and meridian regulation. Physiologically, the meridian sinew maintains the functions of the lumbar region.

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the data of 1674 patients with GBM obtained from the SEER database from 1983 to 2015. Kaplan-Meier analysis was performed to calculate the survival rate, and the log-rank test was used to analyze the survival outcomes.
Dynamic time warping under limited warping path length (LDTW) is a state-of-the-art time series similarity evaluation method. However, it suffers from high space-time complexity, which makes some large-scale series evaluations impossible. In this paper, an alternating matrix with a concise structure is proposed to replace the complex three-dimensional matrix in LDTW and reduce the high complexity.

Despite small molecular mucolytics having the ability to break the disulfide bonds of mucins, offering a potential way to overcome the airflow obstruction and airway infection, these mucolytics have limited therapeutic effects in vivo. Therefore, in this work, arginine-grafted chitosan (CS-Arg) is ionically cross-linked with tris(2-carboxyethyl)phosphine (TCEP) to obtain nanogels as a mucolytic agent.

Previous studies confirmed that leisure sport participation could contribute to people's life satisfaction. However, little is known about the predictors of life satisfaction in the context of long-distance running. A model was proposed in this study to examine the relationship between recreation specialization, self-efficacy, flow experience, and life satisfaction.
