Methods: Bone marrow specimens from 122 patients with multiple myeloma were collected and divided into new-onset group (NDMM), complete remission group (CRMM) and relapsed and refractory group (RRMM) according to the disease progression stage. The proportion of CD4 T lymphocytes, CD8 T lymphocytes, Treg cells and plasma cells in the specimens and the expressions of PD-1, PD-L1 and CTLA-4 were detected by multi-parameter flow cytometry.

Hafnium(IV) triflate (Hf(OTf)) has been identified as a potent catalyst for the direct three-component synthesis of β-carbamate ketones. This new method, featuring a low catalyst loading, fast reaction rate, and solvent-free conditions, provided facile access to a diversity of carbamate-protected Mannich bases. A mechanistic investigation indicated that the three-component reaction proceeds via sequential aldol condensation and aza-Michael addition, but not the Mannich-type pathway.

The aims of the present study were to investigate the effects of a traditional Chinese medicine, Hua Yu Xiao Zheng (HYXZ) decoction, on surgically induced endometriosis in a rat model and to determine the possible underlying regulatory mechanisms. A total of 108 female Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into the control group (n=12) and endometriosis group (EM group; n=96), in which endometriosis was surgically induced in model rats by autotransplantation of endometrial tissues and 72 rats survived. After 3 weeks, the EM model rats were randomly divided into four subgroups (n=18), including the untreated model group, and three groups administered 7, 14 or 21 g/kg HYXZ decoction.

Ru metal acetylide electron donor-acceptor complexes have important applications in the field of nonlinear optics. Herein, in this work, a series of half-sandwich ruthenium-based Cp*(dpe)Ru ([Ru*]) metal complexes with the dihydroazulene/vinylheptafulvene (DHA/VHF) have been investigated by density functional theory (DFT) calculations. The results showed that the position of the [Ru*] acetylide functionality, either para or meta on the phenylene ring to the DHA/VHF core (1c/1o and 2c/2o), and additional a p-phenylene spacer (3c/3o) had a great influence on the second-order nonlinear optical (NLO) responses.
