Prenatal stress exerts long-term impact on neurodevelopment in the offspring, with consequences such as increasing the offspring's risk of depression in adolescence and early adulthood. S-ketamine can produce rapid and robust antidepressant effects, but it is not clear yet whether and how S-ketamine alleviates depression in prenatally stressed offspring. The current study incestigated the preliminary anti-depression mechanism of S-ketamine in prenatally stressed offspring, particularly with regard to neuroplasticity.

Urine proteomes of eight children with IgAVN and eight healthy children were identified by diaPASEF and all differential proteins were analyzed by Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Gene and Genome. Then, the specific biomarkers of urine samples from 10 children with IgAVN, 10 children with IgAV and 10 healthy children were verified by ELISA.

The aim of this study was to examine the effects of different doses of streptozotocin (STZ), and find the optimal dose for inducing diabetes in these monkeys. Fifteen juvenile (2-3 years old) cynomolgus monkeys were separated into three groups and administered with different doses of STZ (100, 68 or 60 mg kg(-1)).

A critical issue is monitoring migration and homing of transplanted cells, as well as engraftment efficiency and functional capability in vivo. Monitoring of superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO) particles by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has been used in animal models and clinical settings to track labeled cells.

Potential sources for cells range from autologous grafts of dopamine secreting cells, fetal ventral mesencephalon tissue, to various stem cell types. Over the past quarter century, many experimental replacement therapies have been tried on PD animal models as well as human patients, yet none resulted in satisfactory outcomes that warrant wide applications.
