Alxa Bactrian camel meat is an organic diet that provides balanced nutrition and is easy to digest and absorb. Despite its potential, it is currently underutilized. To develop a new type of camel jerky, this study utilized a single-factor design method to optimize the formula and fermentation process parameters of Alxa Bactrian camel jerky.

Effects of thermal environment and air quality on outdoor thermal comfort in urban parks of Tianjin, China.

The comfort level of outdoor thermal environments is affected by several factors. Previous studies of thermal comfort have generally investigated the main microclimatic factors as dependent variables, such as the temperature, wind speed, humidity, and thermal radiation, but the influence of the air quality has rarely been explored. In this study, we acquired meteorological element observations and conducted questionnaire surveys in Peach Blossom Park, Hebei University of Technology, and Xigu Park in Tianjin.

Genomic and epidemiological perspectives on the first local sporadic cases of Mpox in China.

From June 7th to 11th, 2023, eight cases of Mpox were identified in Guangzhou, China. This is the first report of multiple local sporadic cases after the imported case in Chongqing, China. Epidemiological investigation revealed that these cases had no history of international travel and no connections with each other.

Identification of prognostic gene biomarkers for metastatic skin cancer using data mining.

Skin cancer is a common malignant tumor in China and throughout the world, and the rate of recurrence is considerably high, thus endangering the quality of life and health of patients, and increasing the economic burden and pressure to the families of those afflicted. Due to the limitations of traditional drug treatments, it is difficult to achieve the desired therapeutic effect of complete removal. However, targeted gene therapy may be a novel means of treating skin cancer, as the targeted nature of treatment may improve therapeutic outcomes.

Clinical characteristics of immunoglobulin G4-related disease: a prospective study of 118 Chinese patients.

Objective: To characterize the clinical features of IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) in China.

Methods: A prospective cohort study of IgG4-RD was carried out in Peking Union Medical College Hospital between 2011 and 2013. Patients with newly diagnosed IgG4-RD were enrolled.

[Inflammatory-modulating mechanism of transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation combined with general anesthesia or controlled hypotension on postoperative hippocampal neuroprotection].

Objective: To observe the effects of transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation (TEAS) combined with general anesthesia or controlled hypotension on hippocampal neuronal damage and the inflammatory response in peripheral circulation and central nervous system (CNS) after surgery, and to investigate its brain protection mechanism.

Methods: Eighteen healthy male beagles aged 6 - 8 months were randomly divided into a general anesthesia group (group G), a controlled hypotension group (group C) and a compound anesthesia acupuncture group (group A), 6 cases in each group. Dogs in group G was anesthetized by isoflurane inhalation, and group C was combined with intravenous infusion of sodium nitroprusside based on isoflurane inhalation to induce hypotension, and followed surgery after achieving the target blood pressure, and group A was combined with TEAS at "Quchi" (LI 11), "Hegu" (LI 4) "Zu sanli" (ST 36) and "Sanyinjiao" (SP 6) based on controlled hypotension, and then brain tissue was taken out on the 72 h after mean arterial pressure (MAP) was returned to baseline levels.

[Multi-central randomized controlled observation on clinical therapeutic effect of the new Bian-stone therapy on scapulohumeral periarthritis].

Methods: According to clinically multi-central randomized controlled and single-blind test principle, 257 cases of periarthritis of shoulder were divided into two groups, a test group (n = 124) treated with oral anti-inflammatory analgesic medicine combined with acupuncture at Tiaokou (ST 38), and a control group (n = 133) treated with oral anti-inflammatory analgesic medicine. Methods: A human testis cDNA microarray was established. Then mRNAs of human adult and fetal testis and spermatozoa were purified and probes were prepared by a reverse transcription reaction with mRNA as the template.

Combined small bowel and reduced auxiliary liver transplantation: case report.

Aim: To present a case of combined small bowel and reduced auxiliary liver transplantation.

Methods: A 55-year-old patient with short bowel syndrome and TPN-related liver dysfunction received small bowel transplantation combined with a reduced auxiliary liver graft. A liver was added to restore the patient's liver function and to protect the intestinal allograft from rejection.

[The inhibitory effects of stimulating AC, AL, BNST and AHL on visceral pain].

We took the unit discharges of the neurons in the posterior group of thalamic nuclei (PO) caused by stimulating the great splanchnic nerve (GSN) as an indicator of visceral pain. We searched for the effects of electrical stimulating central nucleus of amygdala (AC), lateral nucleus of amygdala (AL), bed nucleus of striae terminalis (BNST) and lateral area of hypothalmus (AHL) on unit discharges of PO and the relationship among these nucleuses. The result indicated that the inhibitory effects were strongest with stimulating AC, the next was with stimulating AHL, then BNST and AL.

[Responses of neurons in the somato-sensory area I to noxious electric stimulation of nervus peroneus communis. The study of intracellular potentials].

Noxious electric stimulation of nervus peroneus communis (PN) results in pain. It hasn't been reported that the neurons in somatosensory area I (SI) may respond to the noxious stimulation. In this paper, using intracellular microelectrode technique, we have studied the responses of neurons in SI to noxious electric stimulating PN.
