Objective: To explore the effects of different analgesia methods after UPPP.
Method: Ninety cases of patients uvulopalatopharyngoplasty were divided into 3 groups randomly, and 30 cases in each group. The group A was the blank control group without any analgesia measures.
Purpose: To investigate the effect and underlying mechanism of Aceglutamide on motor dysfunction in rats after cerebral ischemia-reperfusion.
Methods: Adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were subjected to 2 h transient middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO). Aceglutamide or vehicle was intraperitoneally given to rats at 24 h after reperfusion and lasted for 14 days.

Beta-catenin (b-catenin) is a transcriptional regulator of several genes involved in survival/anti-apoptosis. However, its role in palmitate-induced cardiomyocyte apoptosis remains unclear.

However, the roles of miR-195 in human prostate cancer are still elusive.

Accumulated evidences suggested that microRNAs (miRs) play an important role in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). However, how miRs perform their functions in lung adenocarcinoma cancer stem cells (CSCs) remains unknown. Notably, most studies pay more attention to the effects of miRNAs on the metastasis traits whereas the growth activities of CSCs are rather undervalued.

Advances in the treatment of lung SQCC are lacking when compared to lung adenocarcinoma. The main treatment for early-stage SQCC is surgery.

This stress-responsive material can be used to record the distribution and magnitude of pressure between two contacting surfaces by outputting optical response.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA meta-analysis was conducted to quantitatively evaluate the correlation between night shift work and the risk of colorectal cancer. We searched for publications up to March 2015 using PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, EMBASE and the Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure databases, and the references of the retrieved articles and relevant reviews were also checked. OR and 95% CI were used to assess the degree of the correlation between night shift work and risk of colorectal cancer via fixed- or random-effect models.

However, the development of biocompatible theranostic agents with high photothermal conversion efficiency and good MRI contrast effect remains a challenge. Herein, PEGylated Mn2+-chelated polydopamine (PMPDA) nanoparticles were successfully developed as novel theranostic agents for simultaneous MRI signal enhancement and photothermal ablation of cancer cells, based on intrinsic manganese-chelating properties and strong near-infrared absorption of polydopamine nanomaterials.

At present, effective treatment of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma still depends on surgery and radiotherapy. In recent years, application of CO2 laser resection in the treatment of stage T1 glottic carcinoma can remove the tumor completely and reduce the injury of laryngeal tissues.

Superficially porous particles (SPPs) demonstrate superior efficiency than totally porous particles in chiral separations. In order to obtain high efficiency and fast separation, sub-2 μm SPPs with high surface area are synthesized, and with teicoplanin bonded, such materials are successfully applied into the rapid enantioseparation of native amino acids. In brief, 1.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA novel automated integrated platform for quantitative proteome analysis was established with a combination of online digestion of proteins and in situ(18)O labeling by an immobilized enzyme reactor (IMER); digests were captured and desalted by a C18 trap column, and peptides were analyzed by nanoRPLC-ESI-MS/MS. Bovine serum albumin (BSA) was used to evaluate the performance of the developed platform. Compared with traditional offline methods, not only the digestion and labeling time was shortened from 36 h to just 1 h, but also the labeling efficiency was improved from 95% to 99%.

Although there are several studies on the relationship between lung ADC immunohistochemical diagnostic markers (thyroid transcription factor 1 (TTF-1) and Napsin A) and survival, some aspects of those studies could be improved. We examined the significance of the commonly used lung ADC diagnostic markers, including TTF-1, Napsin A, and CK7, in the prognosis of early-stage lung ADC.

A kind of novel epitope surface imprinted particles was prepared by the reversible addition fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) strategy. The epitope of transferrin, N-terminal peptide of the protein with nine amino acid residues, was chosen as the template and immobi- lized with covalent interaction on the surface of silica particles through the truss arm glutaraldehyde. The living/controlled polymerization was initialed by 2,2'-azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) at 70 °C in the solution of N,N-dimethylformamide, with the regulation by triothioester agent 2-(dodecylthiocarbonothioylthio)-2-methylpropanoic acid.
