Immunoglobulin G (IgG) is traditionally recognized as a plasma protein that neutralizes antigens for immune defense. However, our research demonstrates that IgG predominantly accumulates in adipose tissue during obesity development, triggering insulin resistance and macrophage infiltration. This accumulation is governed by neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn)-dependent recycling, orchestrated in adipose progenitor cells and macrophages during the early and late stages of diet-induced obesity (DIO), respectively.

Compared with machine staining, traditional manual staining faces various problems, such as a low preparation success rate, low efficiency, and harm to the human body due to corrosive gases. Therefore, a stainer that is of low cost, has strong corrosion resistance, and is suitable for small-batch preparation should be developed. In this study, by choosing a rotary scheme as the structural basis, a reusable container cover and a master-slave manipulator cooperation scheme are developed, which greatly improve the space utilization rate.

Plants use nucleotide-binding leucine-rich repeat receptors (NLRs) to sense pathogen effectors, initiating effector-triggered immunity (ETI). NLRs containing RESISTANCE TO POWDERY MILDEW 8 domain (RNLs) function as "helper" NLRs in flowering plants and support the immune responses mediated by "sensor" NLRs in cooperation with lipase-EP domain fused proteins (EP proteins). Despite their crucial roles in ETI, much remains unclear about the evolutionary trajectories of RNLs and their functional partners EP proteins.

Fluoride anion (F) with extremely high electronegativity has been under intensive investigation in perovskite solar cells due to its remarkable defect suppression and great improvement of device performance. Nevertheless, these researches only focus on the surface, grain boundaries, or interface modification, the direct insertion of F into the crystal lattice of regular lead halide perovskite films is still unrevealed. Herein, F was successfully incorporated into the perovskite lattice by overcoming the insolubility of PbF via the introduced pyridinium halide as a novel volatile solubilizing ligand.

Universal stress proteins are a class of proteins widely present in bacteria, archaea, plants, and invertebrates, playing essential roles in bacterial adaptation to various environmental stresses. The functions of bacterial universal stress proteins are versatile, including resistance to oxidative stress, maintenance of cell wall integrity, DNA damage repair, regulation of cell division and growth, among others. When facing stresses such as temperature changes, pH shifts, fluctuations in oxygen concentration, and exposure to toxins, these proteins can bind to specific DNA sequences and rapidly adjust bacterial metabolic pathways and gene expression patterns to adapt to the new environment.

Binding to the host cell receptors, CD4 and CCR5/CXCR4, triggers large-scale conformational changes in the HIV-1 envelope glycoprotein (Env) trimer [(gp120/gp41)] that promote virus entry into the cell. CD4-mimetic compounds (CD4mcs) comprise small organic molecules that bind in the highly conserved CD4-binding site of gp120 and prematurely induce inactivating Env conformational changes, including shedding of gp120 from the Env trimer. By inducing more "open," antibody-susceptible Env conformations, CD4mcs also sensitize HIV-1 virions to neutralization by antibodies and infected cells to antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC).

The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1) envelope glycoprotein (Env) trimer on the virion surface interacts with the host receptors, CD4 and CCR5/CXCR4, to mediate virus entry into the target cell. CD4-mimetic compounds (CD4mcs) bind the gp120 Env, block CD4 binding, and inactivate Env. Previous studies suggested that a C(5)-methylamino methyl moiety on a lead CD4mc, BNM-III-170, contributed to its antiviral potency.
