Article Synopsis
- Two new strains of actinomycetes, CDC186 and CDC192, were isolated from a patient's sputum in Chongqing, China, and were analyzed for their classification.
- Phylogenetic analysis showed these strains are closely related to the reference strain DSM 44636, with very high genetic similarity (over 99%).
- The strains display unique DNA characteristics, growth conditions, and resistance to specific antibiotics, leading to the proposal of a new species name for them.
