[Complex therapy of patients with vertebral radiculopathies].

The author determined efficiency of application of no-steroid anti-inflammatory medication, Revmoxicam as well as phonophoresis with Khondrasil ointment in the complex therapy of patients with vertebral radiculopaties. The use of the proposed complex treatment enables the regression of neurological symptoms and allows improving considerably results of the treatment of patients with vertebral radiculopaties.

[Ultrasonic therapy in the combined treatment of patients with eye movement disorders in intracranial arterial aneurysms].

Results are reported of using ultrasound therapy in the complex of oculomotor disorders in 14 patients who underwent an endovascular operation of occluding saccular aneurysms of the internal carotid artery in comparison with 25 control patients who were treated by routine methods. The proposed method proved efficient and is recommended for wider use in this kind of pathology.

[Blakeslea trispora mutants with a disrupted sexual process].

Three groups of Blakeslea trispora (+) and (-) mutants were obtained and their phenotypical characteristics were studied as well as biochemical changes in the course of mating and the ability to synthesize carotenoids when the sexual process of these mutants was disordered. The first group of mutants synthesized carotenoids at the control level, the second group produced them below the control level, and the third group accumulated less than 1% of carotenoids as compared to the control. The difference in the yields of carotenoids among the three groups of mutants in the mated culture is attributed to the presence (or absence) of the ability to synthesize trisporic acids in them.
