This study uncovers the role of H4K8hib as an active epigenetic mark in rice, which positively correlates with gene expression and enhances immune responses. Furthermore, HDA705 was identified as the key enzyme regulating H4K8hib. Mutation of HDA705 led to hyper-H4K8hib, which in turn activated the expression of defense-related genes and enhanced rice resistance to pathogens.

Inhibiting the shuttle effect and propelling polysulfide conversion by introducing a suitable sulfur container has been proven as a promising strategy to enhance the cycle life of lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries. Here, a unique three-dimensional (3D) inter-connected framework assembled with SO-doped polypyrrole (PPy-SO) nanowires is proposed. An efficient procedure is presented for functionalization of BODIPYs at boron with arylstannanes as weak nucleophiles in the presence of aluminum chloride, providing new aryl-boron-substituted BODIPY and aza-BODIPY derivatives of singular importance. Strong adsorption and catalysis for lithium polysulfides (LiPSs) are critical toward the electrochemical stability of Li-S batteries. Herein, a hollow sandwiched nanoparticle is put forward to enhance the adsorption-catalysis-conversion dynamic of sulfur species. Research on plant-virus-vector interactions has revealed that viruses can enhance their spread to new host plants by attracting nonviruliferous vectors to infected plants or driving viruliferous vectors to noninfected plants. A cumulative and progressively developing cardiomyopathy induced by adriamycin (ADR)-based chemotherapy is a major obstacle for its clinical application. However, there is a lack of safe and effective method to protect against ADR-induced cardiotoxicity. Here, we found that mRNA and protein levels of FGF1 were decreased in ADR-treated mice, primary cardiomyocytes and H9c2 cells, suggesting the potential effect of FGF1 to protect against ADR-induced cardiotoxicity.
