A class of optical fields with specular or antispecular properties can be generated by a Gaussian Schell-model beam passing through a wavefront-folding interferometer. Based on the generalized diffraction integral formula, an analytical expression for the cross-spectral density function of such fields propagating through non-Kolmogorov atmospheric turbulence is derived. It is revealed that the specular and antispecular properties of the beams always maintain during propagation in free space.

Background: Acute Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada (VKH) disease and acute central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR) are two common disorders with serous retinal detachment caused by dysfunction of choroid. The purpose of this study is to compare the morphological changes of these two diseases with spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT).

Methods: In this retrospective comparative study, the SD-OCT images of 65 eyes with acute VKH and 52 eyes with acute CSCR were reviewed for the presence of subretinal fluid, folds of retinal pigment epithelial (RPE), fluctuation of internal limiting membrane (ILM), subretinal septa, retinal pigment epithelium detachment (PED) and bulge of RPE.

Objective: To explore the expression of Foxa2 in different pathological types of gastric polyps and examine the correlation with cancerous risk.

Methods: According to computerize random number, a total of 2000 patients were selected to receive endoscopic biopsy during November 2011 to October 2012. Tissues were harvested from 170 with gastric polyps and suspicious cancerous lesions and their histological types detected.

Objective: To study the expression of tumorigenesis-related stem cell markers Lgr5 and CD44 in different pathological types of intestinal polyps and their clinical significance in predicting tumorigenesis.

Methods: A total of 145 cases of colorectal polyps, adenomas and cancer tissues were obtained by colonoscopy biopsy. Immunohistochemistry was employed to detect the expression of Lgr5 and CD44 to analyze their relationship with the occurrence and prognosis of colon and rectal cancer.
