Background: Secretory leukocyte protease inhibitor (SLPI) is a multifunctional protein involved in the chronic inflammatory process, implicated in the pathogenesis of diabetic kidney disease (DKD). However, its potential as a diagnostic and prognostic biomarker of DKD has yet to be evaluated. This study explored the clinical utility of SLPI in the diagnosis and prognosis of renal endpoint events in patients with DKD.

In this study, we investigated the mechanisms of Qing-Re-Xiao-Zheng-Yi-Qi Formula in the treatment of diabetic kidney disease. We used Vanquish UHPLC to analyze the chemical profiling of Qing-Re-Xiao-Zheng-Yi-Qi Formula freeze-dried powder.

The Correlation between Microalbuminuria and Thyroid Nodules in Type 2 Diabetic Mellitus.

Objective: To investigate the correlation between thyroid nodules and microalbuminuria in type 2 diabetic mellitus.

Methods: A total of 270 patients with type 2 diabetes at Tongzhou Branch of Dongzhimen Hospital were enrolled in this retrospective study. Data were collected from the inpatient electronic files between January 2018 and January 2020.

Methods: This was a cross-sectional study conducted on 3410 community residents from four large communities of Tongzhou district in Beijng, China. A validated, self-administered questionnaire comprised of three sections was used to gather the data.
