As a porcine alphacoronavirus, porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) frequently undergoes mutations that significantly reduce the effectiveness of current prevention and control strategies, leading to recurrent outbreaks in China. This study investigates the genetic evolution and mutation patterns of the S1 protein to characterize PEDV variation in China. Genetic evolutionary analysis of 804 PEDV S1 genes, including 620 Chinese PEDV strains, revealed that 78.

Objectives: To explore the mechanism by which (PSD) inhibits invasion and metastasis of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC).

Methods: The public databases were used to identify the potential targets of PSD and the invasion and metastasis targets of TNBC to obtain the intersection targets between PSD and TNBC. The "PSD-target-disease" interaction network was constructed and protein-protein interaction (PPI) analysis was performed to obtain the core targets, which were analyzed for KEGG pathway and GO functional enrichment.

Avian metapneumovirus (aMPV) represents a significant threat to the poultry industry, exhibiting a high degree of genetic diversity. Of these, the aMPV types A (aMPV-A), B (aMPV-B) and C (aMPV-C) are frequently detected in Chinese waterfowl and live poultry markets. Therefore, the rapid and accurate identification of these subtypes is of paramount importance in order to halt the spread of the disease.

Significant progress has been made in the pathogenesis of chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS). However, the relationship between chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) and ferroptosis, as well as its underlying molecular mechanism, remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate the correlation between CRSwNP and ferroptosis and identify key gene associated with ferroptosis that could impact the diagnosis and treatment of CRS.

Valley kink states and valley-polarized chiral edge states, whose topologically protected one-way propagation property provides a promising solution for manipulating light waves, have recently attracted considerable attention in topological photonics. However, it remains a great challenge to realize flexibly tunable dispersion for two different topological states and to develop a dynamically controllable topological photonic platform for switching topological wave routing. In this work, we propose a reconfigurable topological wave routing structure in the telecommunication frequency range, where phase-change material SbS cylinders with tunable refractive index are embedded into each topological channel to dynamically tune the dispersion of topological edge states.

Porcine deltacoronavirus (PDCoV) is a coronavirus that causes diarrhea in suckling piglets and has the potential for cross-species transmission. Monitoring PDCoV evolution and identifying potential vaccine candidates are crucial due to its high mutation rates in pig populations. In this study, a Chinese PDCoV strain named ZD2022 was successfully isolated from diarrhea piglets in Zhejiang province, followed by genetic evolutionary analysis, assessment of S proteins' biological functions, in vitro cellular adaptation analysis and pathogenicity evaluation.

Topological chiral edge states in photonic Chern insulators, which exhibit the one-way propagation property with reflection-free behavior and excellent robustness against perturbations, have become an important frontier in topological photonics. Currently, there have been many studies on its robust propagation behavior, but few studies have focused on its radiation properties. In developing functional photonic devices (e.

Article Synopsis
  • Porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) causes high mortality in piglets, making it crucial to monitor its mutations for vaccine development.
  • Two PEDV strains (ZJ2022 and ZQ2022) were identified, with ZQ2022 being a recombinant strain and showing more severe pathogenicity compared to ZJ2022.
  • The study indicates ZJ2022's unique genetic modification may enhance its potential as a vaccine candidate due to its lower pathogenicity and stronger cellular adaptation.

The function of the Trihelix transcription factor is that it plays an important role in many abiotic stresses, especially in the signaling pathway of low temperature, drought, flood, saline, abscisic acid, methyl jasmonate, and other abiotic stresses. However, there are few studies on the Trihelix gene family of ginseng. In this study, 41 Trihelix gene family members were identified and screened from the ginseng genome database, and their physicochemical properties, cis-acting elements, subcellular localization, chromosomal assignment, and abiotic stress-induced expression patterns were analyzed by bioinformatics methods.

The absorption of the multilayer lossy frequency selective surface-based absorber is calculated by multilayer absorption equations and equivalent circuit models. To solve the problem of the unbalanced structure absorption bandwidth and thickness, an algorithm is used for optimizing the geometric and sheet resistance parameters of the structure.

Electrochemical conversion of nitrate, a prevalent water pollutant, to ammonia (NH) is a delocalized and green path for NH production. Despite the existence of different nitrate reduction pathways, selectively directing the reaction pathway on the road to NH is now hindered by the absence of efficient catalysts. Single-atom catalysts (SACs) are extensively investigated in a wide range of catalytic processes.
